Visited last night 10/8/16 for a meal only did not stay over night with seven friends for a joint birthday celebration. As usual they never fail on quality of food and service. Could do with more choice for vegetarians and those with intolerance but at least the helpful waitresses took the time and efforts to check with the chef what was... More

Went here for a works do. The bar staff were friendly and the hand pulled ale lovely. We never eat there but the food we could see coming out looked beautiful. The place was busy so that's always a good sign and we would definitely go again.

Called on spec Sunday afternoon, after being recommended by a friend. The food was hot , good portions and very tasty. The beer was excellent too. The pub is well kept and lots of parking at the rear Overall a very enjoyable experience and would return and recommend. John and Julie

Great village pub. Friendly atmosphere and very good home cooked food. Six of us ate there on a very busy Saturday night. There was a party going on in a marquee around the back. Though they were busy this did not effect the service which was excellent. We had a mixture of dishes between us and unfortunately I chose the... More

My family often stay at the Bluebell and we eat there often. The quality of food is always good and expect a full plate. Excellent hosts who are prepared to go out of their way to make sure you are welcome.

Me, my partner and my son stayed here as it was close to Sundown. From the start, the service was brilliant, helpful but not intrusive in any way. The room was a good size, very comfortable king size bed, coffee station and a television with free view. There wasn't a bath, but the shower was very good and easy to... More

This is what a village pub should be, friendly, good, atmosphere, great beer and good food. The staff made you feel welcome, nothing was to much trouble and they seemed to be enjoying the night as much as we were, even though they were very busy. The food was excellent, well presented, freshly cooked and chips just how I like... More

We are so glad we chose to stay at the Bluebell Inn after a family wedding in Retford - the two rooms we stayed in were very comfortable, spotlessly clean, decorated tastefully & well thought-out. We also enjoyed being able to have our continental breakfast at the little table in the room and everything was carefully provided - milk &... More

Just had a delightful Sunday lunch with 8 friends at the bluebell inn Lound, the food was excellent plenty to choose from, staff helpful and obliging, very good value for money, and no one hurrying you along when you have finished your meal. A lovely relaxing lunch.
