Reserved this room through Wyndham emphasizing I needed a kitchen as my stay would be for 13 weeks. This site does not have a kitchen, only a small microwave and small refrigerator. Also, it is out of date, dirty carpet through out. The laundry services only provide one wash machine and one dryer which are very old and dirty looking as well. I checked out early after two days due to not having a kitchen, and they refused to refund me for the five days I did not stay. And the manager Tina, is never there!

Long gone are the days of a $100 room that is decent. Lobby smelt like marijuana, room and hallway was "clean" but I would say needs a shampoo and deep clean. Hot tub was like green, breakfast very little options. it is a definite 2 star hotel.

Location is fine, property is not kept clean enough. Bathroom tiles cracked, broken. Bedspread stained. Most of the staff encountered there were very nice, however. Night staff not so much. Reasonable rate but you get what you payfor.

We booked a room here at $67 a night. We booked online the reservation was accurate. The hotel was easily accessible with plenty of off-street free parking including turn around space. Friendly front desk staff enabled an efficient check in. The hotel was quiet despite being in a busy neighborhood. It was a clean facility with generally clean grounds. Breakfast was mainly continental offerings with make your own waffles. The room had a microwave, mini fridge with small freezer. We had a nice king size bed. The room had a lounge chair and a desk with chair. We had a hair dryer. There was a self-contained bathroom with tub and shower. The hotel had an inside pool and hot tub. Internet was free but spotty at times and security warnings were surfaced. Conveniences and restaurants are nearby including local Mexican and Chinese restaurants. McDonalds is in the neighborhood and other places are within a short drive. There was no overnight cleaning on a two day stay.

Better than average for a hotel in it's price range.Has an indoor pool and spa. Breakfast is standard or slightly better with juice, coffee, milk, fruit loops and instant oatmeal cereals, make your own waffles, bread, bagels, butter and cream cheese.
Although a non smoking hotel now, when humid outside,it reactivates the nicotine scents indoors, created years ago. If you have breathing issues like me, you might want to look for a newer hotel that's NEVER been smoked in.🤷‍♂️

The rooms are very well kept.
The staff is very friendly.
The breakfast is excellent
It's in a good location.
It is very quiet and has good amenities!
The bath tub could use an upgrade
because make a lot of noise when showering. The bathroom also needs a bath mat and a tub stoper. The cloths hanger could use more hangers as their is only 3 hangers.

I stayed at this hotel while visiting America to attend a funeral. All i asked my travel agent for was a clean room with a bed and shower and it was indeed clean, had a bed and shower but my stay was made all the better with friendly, helpful staff, the Manager, Neil was working when i arrived and greeted me and was very welcoming, the rest of the staff that i met (Abdul, Kathy, Chandana and Sushma?) were all very polite and engaging as well as helpful and kind during my stay. The pool and jakuzzi were an unexpected bonus and the breakfast was decent. I would definitely stay here again if i were in the area and if Super 8s are like this nationwide then I would happily stay at any of them.

Casino trip ran longer than expected, needed nap and continental breakfast for under $60. Booked at 2am,walked in at 3am.left at noon.
Only a $12 uber ride from mystic, for the price, last minute availability and the flexibility of in person checking in and out....totally worth it.

If I could give it negative 100 stars I would. First of all we made the reservation at the last minute as our first choice was too expensive (in the end we got our original choice of rooms at a different hotel for free, but I digress). We called Super 8 around 11 am to see if we could check in early. The manager, or SO CALLED manager told us there were rooms ready and to come on over. Mind you, we drove about an hour and went an extra 5 miles out of our way to get there. Wasted gas. So, we get there and no one was at the front desk. There was a provided phone, which looked like it was sent from the 90's to page someone. It rang and rang and rang, no answer or an attempt to answer. I went down the hall to see if someone was available and a housekeeper said the manager (mind you the woman we spoke to on the phone) would be back in about 5 minutes. Then this guy comes from outside, we had no idea who he was and he said the manager would be back in 10 minutes! Little did we know that she had left for the day on an "emergency". We got very angry and frustrated and left. My best friend has a very bad back and is elderly so he couldn't stand there and wait for 10 minutes, when it would have been for the rest of the day. The driveway was not cleared of snow at all (safety hazard and pure laziness) and the general feel of the hotel was dingy and depressing. Had we read the reviews on this place we would've NEVER considered this place. But when you make last minute plans you don't think of that. Both my friend and I have traveled a lot in our day and we know how classy and upscale hotels should be. I recommend that no one stay here, unless you want to hear false information and be treated as though you aren't even around. P.S. That so called manager should not work there. She knew that check in was after 3 and has the nerve to tell us that we can come in early? That is not professional and certainly not competent. Know your job and the policies.

Response from manwerk, Manager at Super 8 by Wyndham Shakopee
Responded Jan 27, 2020
I am very sorry to hear what this customer had to say. Unfortunately, this reservation was made through a third party (Expedia). We at the property were never part of making the reservation or promising anyone an early check in. Many customers think they are talking to us at the property but in fact they are talking to a third party rep who is not our employee and they cannot deviate from standard advertised policies. If a customer shows up to check in for a reservation before promised check in time (3 PM), they are just taking a chance. In this case the customer showed up around noon to check in when the rooms were still being cleaned. Obviously we cannot send a customer to a dirty room. That's what the customer was told and they got upset. The customer should have taken it up with Expedia, if they were promised anything as we were totally ignorant of any communication between customer and Expedia. If we at the property promise anyone an early check in, we stand by our promise. I apologize for any inconvenience that may have been caused to the customer but we are totally innocent as we did not promise this guest any early check in. The best thing is to make a reservation directly with the property or through our website and we guarantee anything that we promise or advertise.

DO NOT GO HERE! They don't accept debit cards for the deposit and demand cash, very outdated model. They could easily have deducted the deposit from the debit card but instead wanted cash and still charged me when I didn't check in.
