Detailed Reviews
The hotel was very clean. Housekeeping made up the rooms everyday while I stayed and made sure everything I needed was taken care of. The hotel is modern, and the staff was very friendly and we’re willing to help.

Beautiful clean hotel. It was located just a few mins from Canterbury park (walking if it was warmer out). Breakfast was good, rooms and bed were very comfortable. Very quite. Definitely the go to hotel when visiting Shakopee. Nice restaurants near by.

The hotel itself is only a couple years old and very nice and clean. My big concerns are the AC unit uses the motion sensor and doesn’t allow you to use continuous fan unless you hack it.
My other bigger concern is breakfast. I stay in Fairfield Inn about 120 nights a year and this one was near dead last for breakfast. Most other FI’s have the pre-made cheese omelettes and sausage Pattie’s which are actually pretty good.
This FI, has the pre-made packaged sandwiches which are atrocious and inedible. The wet gummy bread and cold egg and meat are disgusting.
The choices of sugar are Raw, white and sweet’n low. No blue or yellow versions. There is only one choice for coffee creamer. If you don’t want flavored creamer you are out of luck.
Had to opt for the cold hard boiled eggs and a waffle but wait, on 2 mornings there was no syrup. Want a glass of water with breakfast, sure go into the fitness center to grab that.
Just one thing after another at this place.

Thank you for the great review, Kevin O! We're happy you had a pleasant experience with us! It's lovely you enjoyed our clean accommodations so much. That's what we like to see! However, we regret that our temperature control system and breakfast offerings didn't meet your expectations. We endeavor to offer a top-notch experience for our guests so we'll be sure to discuss your concerns moving forward. We look forward to hosting you again soon for an even better experience!

Stayed here for a concert nearby. Breakfast wasn't what it was supposed to be. Cleaning staff knocked and entered our room plenty of time before checkout; literally gave us 3 seconds to open the door and we didn't make it in time--our Do Not Disturb sign was on hanging outside as well. Also were not allowed a late checkout on a Sunday. Definitely disappointed with our experience here.

The hotel is really well maintained. Very nice rooms with comfortable beds and chairs and a great shower. I opted for the upgrade to a suite, which gave me lots of nice space to read and work. Ganize at the front desk was very helpful and friendly.
My only suggestion is to switch to regular glasses and coffee mugs, rather than paper.

Highly unmotivated staff especially during the weekend . Broken shower head was only fixed after 3!days.
Rooms only get cleaned every 3 days if you are lucky . Despite requesting cleaning service the room was not cleaned the entire week
Don’t expect a full or healthy Breakfast choice .

I stayed in this hotel for two weeks, while my kids attended a summer course in a facility nearby. Basically, we used the hotel to rest in the evening from a day full of activities.
I cannot stress enough how disappointing is to come to your room in the evening and find the room hasn’t been done. Like AT ALL. No clean (or dry) towels, trash cans not emptied, beds not made… and in the days when the room was made, everything looked sloppy. (Out of 14 nights, the room wasn’t cleaned on 3 occasions)
The hotel is fairly new, it’s nice enough and has a few good points. Breakfast is included and is not terrible. Has a small but nice fitness room and an equally small but nice enough pool.
HOWEVER, I just can’t get pass the terrible housekeeping, I’m sorry. After COVID, one would think that cleanliness is their Number One Priority.

A friend and I recently stayed here just this weekend - we were going to a concert at Mystic Lake and their rooms were sold out. Overall the stay was nice, we weren’t at the hotel much, but the room was really nice and the beds/pillows were comfortable.
It was really weird, when we left for the concert, we closed the room door completely and when we returned the door was open with the deadbolt having locked to keep it propped open somehow. Nothing was amiss so no harm done, just really weird.

Hello TheLisaBee, My Name is Alex and I am the Assistant General Manager for The Fairfield Inn & Suites Minneapolis Shakopee. While I am glad your stay overall was a nice one, we take the security of our guests seriously and I am sorry to hear about the door being propped open. I can imagine how alarming that would be to come back to and we want to investigate the issue immediately. At your earliest inconvenience, could you give the hotel a call at 612-248-1685 and ask for myself or Ray so we can investigate the issue further. Thank you, Alex D.

The hotel is a modern attractive design. The room was very well appointed with a nice comfortable bed. Had everything you will need. There is an exercise room with plenty of equipment and it is located close to a casino for your entertainment needs.

Staff at front desk were friendly and dressed professionally. There were a variety of items on the breakfast buffet. Our room was neat and clean, but we wish there would have been enough towels and washcloths provided so we did not need to contact the front desk. A recycling container was provided in our room which we applaud. Located conveniently off the highway and our room was quiet.
