Absolutely lovely little five-room hotel in the heart of historic downtown St. Peter. Beautiful, updated, clean, and quiet suites led to a wonderful anniversary get-away from the cities. We stayed in the Governor Austin room which had everything we needed including a huge bathroom with separate spa-tub, separate shower, balcony, refrigerator, and king size bed. Large public sitting room on the second floor was a perfect spot to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the morning. The restaurant, downstairs, was phenomenal.
We celebrated our 10 yr Anniversary at this lovely hotel. It is a beautiful place with kind staff and is very charming and really affordable for the spacious rooms and great bathrooms. We stayed in the McGill Room. Decor was Great, Bed was very comfy, It had a Jetted Deep soaker and that was great after doing alot of driving and sight seeing. Also had a balcony which was pretty cool. I only have excellent things to say about this beautiful hotel. Only thing could find to mention is the parking is a little different you park in the back of the hotel and enter the hotel from the front of the building. However we felt very safe there and parking was free and everything was just fine. And lighting was a little dark for doing makeup and such in the morning in the bathroom but the darker lighting did prob add alot to the old world charm of the room so there is that. We loved the place, we look forward to hopefully getting bk there again if headed that direction. Also recommend the meat and cheese tray it was very good. :) Nice hotel in a neat little town. Don't pass it up if heading that direction.…
We really enjoyed the Konsbruck hotel. Located in the heart of St Peter the hotel is perfectly located including being just above the 3rd Street Tavern which was the perfect spot for some cocktails and dinner after a long day. The rooms were very nicely appointed the service was friendly. This is a little spot with only 6 rooms. Book it!
We have stayed here before - and it offers large, beautiful rooms! Unfortunately, this stay was not up to par. Our room had only one bath towel, and we could not locate anyone early in the morning for another. We did not receive the breakfast vouchers for Sunday morning, nor did we receive any continental breakfast on Monday morning. The difficulty is that there is not a caretaker on site and when I texted the manager a question about where to leave the key when checking out early Monday morning, I received no reply. Again, these are minor concerns, and overall our stay was wonderful - but having someone available when help is requested would be a huge plus.
If you ever find yourself in St. Peter, MN, make a point to spend some time. This bed and breakfast was superbly outfitted and located just above a wonderful "tavern" that is not a bit rowdy, but a great place to enjoy a meal or a cocktail. The menu was quite interesting and the atmosphere is quite family-friendly. The Konsbruck would be a great place to have a small family reunion. I hope to visit again some day!
I had to spend one night in St. Peter, MN as my daughters were attending Tennis and Life Camp at Gustavus. I used Trip Advisor to find a hotel. I noticed Konsbruck on the list, but I was not overly impressed with the pictures or lack of reviews. I went to their website and noticed a difference in pictures and then I started researching and reading the reviews. The bedding has all been upgraded since many of the pictures on Trip Advisor I booked the hotel via their website. I had great communication with the hotel prior to my arrival. They have a check-in time of 3:00. I asked if I could check in at 2:00 and they were accommodating. I booked the Governor McGill room. I was very impressed by the room. It was very spacious, clean and quiet. The room was cool, but comfortable, as the heat index was over 100. The hotel is over the restaurant/bar. I did not smell any food/cooking. Overall it was a wonderful hotel. I showed it to my daughters (who have stayed in many nice hotels) and they were really impressed. Breakfast was included in the stay...it was very good! I would recommend staying at the Konsbruck Hotel. It was a wonderful stay! Thanks! …
Best brisket i’ve had. Mandy perhaps the midwest’s best server. Food was fantastic, large portions, service was fast- professional- and delightful. Midwestern charm coupled with reasonably priced bbq, what’s not to love.. oh and the restaurant is the lower floor of a small old hotel- both filled with nostalgia and tasteful hollywood / st peters history. A solid a+ meal and a southern mn must see.
The Konsbruck hotel is absolutely gorgeous! Old world charm, with modern amenities. The bed was so soft, and the pillows were bountiful, and dreamy. The bathroom was like a spa with the jetted claw foot soaking tub, a beautiful rain shower, fireplace, and flat screen TV. Trust me, you will feel very pampered here. The rooms also include breakfast downstairs at the Third Street Tavern which serves delicious food!
Spent 2 nights for a quick, mid-week business trip. So glad I took the time to look into this place when I was looking for hotels. The hotel is super cool, and the my room was amazing. Large, clean, quiet, beautiful decor, beautiful bathroom (shower and tub). The staff was super friendly and helpful. If you stay, you have to eat downstairs at the 3rd Street Tavern, I "only" did two lunches and dinners there, the rest of my work group joined for two lunches also.
Just spent 2 nights here and we were extremely happy with the room. The bed was comfortable, did not make my back hurt like most do. Had the most amazing massage tub, quiet location, the food downstairs in the 3rd Street Tavern was made to perfection! Guac and chips with the guacamole made tableside, smoked chicken dry rubbed with spices then flash fried was extremely flavorful and juicy. The brisket melt with 3 cheeses was another favorite. This is a nice 5 room bed and breakfast in town. Also the location of this town is an hour from the Mall of America and just 10 minutes from Mankato.
