We can’t say enough good things about this Bed and Breakfast. Staying at Carla’s B&B is like staying with a good friend that likes to cook and clean for you! She is lovely and she has an adorable dog as well. Our room was charming and cozy. Carla is a great cook and we enjoyed our breakfasts a lot. The location of the B&B is across the street from the lake so you have a beautiful view of it. The property is also dog friendly.

A perfectly classic Bed & Breakfast with an amazing host, Carla and fabulous dog Lennie. The location was awesome by the lake. Homemade breakfast was delicious. Carla clearly loves hosting people! She is warm, caring and delightful. We stayed in the third floor room and it was spacious and comfortable. Bed was comfortable, too (key!). The various artwork, collections and history throughout the B&B are fascinating, especially when Carla tells you their stories. Make sure you take time to sit and chat with her. She made our visit for our son's wedding extra memorable. If you want to experience a true and authentic B&B experience, stay here.

We were here for a three night stay to go to a Gopher Football Game and the State Fair. My wife dropped me off on University Avenue and I hopped the train to the Campus Stadium. We toured the Como Conservatory and the Zoo and the park. We went to the Dakota to see Moore by Four. We walked to most places. On our way out of town, we went down to Minnehaha Park and then back to St. Paul to the oldest operating DQ in Minnesota. We stayed in the suite on the top floor with plenty of room to relax and separate as needed. The skylights provide wonderful natural light for a relaxing read or computer viewing. Most of all, this feels like a home away from home to us. The breakfast was different every day. It is the most gourmet breakfast that I have ever had!!!! Best BNB EVER!!!! Carla will want a rematch as the only cribbage game we played, I won. I have not played cribbage in probably 20 years, but it all came back. OH Yes, we loved Lennie! If you stay, you will remember your stay forever.

My husband and I spent three days in St. Paul visiting good friends and stayed at Como Lake Bed and Breakfast in the Lake View Room with our private bath across the hall. We loved the beautiful neighborhood, especially being across the street from Lake Como with all the places to walk. Carla and Lenny her dog made us feel at home. Honestly, I'm a cat owner, and I loved Lenny! The breakfasts were delicious, and Carla is a great hostess. The front gardens and porch have all kinds of places to sit, and we enjoyed having a glass of wine out there in the evening. I also loved sitting in the garden chairs to read. We plan to stay here again when we visit our friends. We have visited many bed and breakfasts across the country, and we loved this one.

I had the privilege of staying at Como B/B. I was captivated by the local beauty; the incredible walking trails and the ease of the Como proximity. Carla and Lenny provided a welcome care, a hospitable space and friendship. There is camaraderie, history and joy during a stay at Como Lake B/B. I am grateful for the ease and the confident space available to me during my stay.

A magical and truly comforting experience! The entire place is gorgeous and decorated with a beautifully curated eye. There's an enchanting garden in front and it's only a few steps from lake Como. Carla is a warm and gracious host. All the little touches and extras in the rooms make you feel cared for and special. I loved all the antique books and quilts!
