We chose this hotel for the location and the fact that they let dogs stay free. There was nothing very special about the rooms, but that's fine. I appreciated the fact that the rooms were not cleaned every day, so I didn't have to worry about anyone possibly bringing germs into the room. The staff were mostly very friendly and helpful, and they seemed to really love dogs. It's too bad you have to use valet parking - the cost really added up over a few days.

Thank you, Andy! We really appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback. You are correct in your statement about us loving dogs. We certainly do. We apologize that we only offer valet parking. The way that our garage is set up it poses a security risk if we let people self park. We are so glad that you enjoyed the other aspects of the hotel. We hope to see you again in the future. Please let us know if you need assistance in the making your next reservation.

Hotel's Favorite
We spent two nights here over Thanksgiving and had a mostly wonderful stay. We requested the top floor facing river which was very quiet, with very little street noise. (We specifically had room 534). The pool was a good size, standard for a hotel pool but larger than what we sometimes see in other cities in a downtown location. The breakfast was excellent. Standard free breakfast options with some nice extra things we don’t typically see - like fun waffle toppings, smoothies, and blended juices. Valet was pricey but the hotel itself was cheap so overall we were satisfied with the value. Valet was fast. Location was great, and we enjoyed the Capitol, science museum, and cathedral, and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Only problem was a fire alarm at 4am that didn’t stop buzzing for a long time, maybe 30 minutes. We hung in the lobby and waited till the firemen gave us the okay. The hotel staff said it was a false alarm but didn’t seem to know how to turn it off and keep it off; it seemed to turn back on within seconds of turning it off each time. Not a fun thing in the middle of the night but it was quiet once we got back to our room and we were able to sleep in a bit the next morning. Probably not the hotel’s fault.

Jen M, Thank you so much for all the kind words about the hotel. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your Holiday here with us. We do apologize for the false fire alarm. The staff is trained how to handle those issues but unfortunately the alarm was misfiring and not responding to our usual measures. The issue has been taken care of and we shouldn't have that happen again. We certainly hope that we get to see you again in the future. Please let us know if you need any assistance with future reservations. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

This hotel is on a busy street. If you are driving they do require paying for parking. And you have to let someone else drive your car. In the time of Covid this isn’t great. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was huge and everything was clean. They have cold breakfast items currently but nothing hot.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay with us. We have a great team in place and we love to make our guests happy. We are thrilled that came across for you. We apologize for the parking issue you expressed, however the way our hotel is set up there just isn't any way for us to allow self parking without posing a security threat to our hotel. When we do have to drive a guests vehicle, we always sanitize ourselves before we get in and after we get out. Additionally, we sanitize the keys before placing them in our lockbox as well. I hope this helps alleviate some of the worry you had about that. Please let us know if you need any assistance in making a future reservation. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

My husband and I stayed here for a short visit with my newborn grandtwins, it just so happen to be at the same time of the St. Patrick celebration, however, they have a very convenient valet parking. the over all hotel was very clean and refreshing. the staff was extremely kind and friendly throughout our stay. I Love this place and this will be the only place we stay every-time we visit Minnesota

I frequented the Hampton Inn, St. Paul, only once during my travels. However, once was enough for me to conclude that not only was this hotel easy on the budget but quite a bargain for all of the amenities. I had comfortable sleeping accommodations with typical features like the business center and the exercise room. I enjoyed the continental breakfast. The Hampton Inn, St. Paul, is an excellent hotel for business or pleasure.
