We got one of the suites and it was perfect for us. We had our 18 year old son and the 2 rooms with the living room was very nice for us so that we do our own thing. Our son could sleep in and we didnt need to worry about distrubing him. Beds were a little soft but we all agreed we had a good nights sleep. We would go there again if we go back to Minneapolis.
The hotel could use a little updating, but the experience we had was phenomenal. Dalicia went out of her way daily for my family who was displaced due to a plumbing problem. She was very friendly with a cheerful attitude. She made sure to remember the names of my children making them feel very welcomed and comfortable (my son looked for her daily). She encouraged my son to be an amazing big brother and even instilled in the the fundamentals of reading daily. Way to go Residence Inn Dalicia was a winner!
I had an extended stay here due to family illness. The room (I had a suite) was OK, but tight. The kitchen was well equipped. The front desk clerks were OK if you went out of your way to engage them. I had an issue connecting devices and the mgr said she would help but when I tried to contact her, multiple times, she went radio silent. Never even gave me the courtesy of a response. Breakfast was OK, but I hated the paper plates and flimsy plastic utensils they use on the weekends. Weekdays were better. No restaurant or bar which was unfortunate. Small fitness center with a really nasty old yoga mat but a few decent pieces of equipment. Free parking was nice. Probably would find a different location if I need to stay in the area again. Not up to Marriott's normal standards
Hotel has free shuttle to mall of America and airport, room is spacious and with full kitchenette, break is good and stuff is very friendly, they also have free light dinner, which is good enough for us! We enjoyed our stay!
Stayed 4 nights over Thanksgiving. Room was quiet and clean but service was hit/miss. Alex and Din did a solid job of making us feel welcome. However the gal who checked us in was very lacking - you could tell she didn't want to be there and just handed me my key and pointed toward the elevator. Not the level of service I expect from Marriott. Breakfast was also very intermittent. Excellent the first day with everything restocked quickly. The 2nd day was the total opposite. The breakfast gal hid out in the kitchen and literally everything was empty an hour before they stopped serving. For example, the area where they normally have fresh fruit and bagels/muffins WAS TOTALLY EMPTY - not a speck of fruit or a single slice of bread or a single muffin to be found. When I knocked on the kitchen door to enquire about getting some food for breakfast she said she was only one person and grudgingly brought out the one thing I asked for. Again not the level of service I've come to expect from Marriott. They had a note on the counter saying "No housekeeping services on Thanksgiving day" which I guess is fine but when their employees do show up I expect them to actually work.…
