We arrived at Timber Trails Resort July 16th, 2016 and stayed through July23rd. We have 4 grandchildren aging from 8 months old to our oldest at 7 years old. The kids had a great time! They spent their time in the playground and at the beach. Fishing was a little slow, but we didn't work too hard at it either....

We had a large group and were able to stay all in one cabin. The owners are very friendly and helpful and are some of the hardest working people you'll meet. There's a nice beach and swimming area and they offer activities for kids every day. The cabin was very clean when we arrived also. I gave it 4/5 only...

Upon arrival this resort looks very nice. It has a great playground for kids and the lake is beautiful. We stayed in the largest cabin and paid close to 3,000 dollars for the week. We didn't appreciate sharing the cabin with Stuart Little but he sure enjoyed our hot dog buns. We were given a mouse trap and we did...

As I responded earlier to your daughter (our only other bad review) that there were unusual circumstances with the power outages due to a major storm. Many resorts of our size do not have the convenience of an automatic back-up system to run the resort at full capacity. Tom & I worked tirelessly (around the clock) to keep the necessities...

What I love about Timber Trails is that they can accommodate our whole family and we always have a great time. Our stay this July started out with a storm and power outage. Tom, Kathy, family and staff worked diligently to help keep us us with some power, water and sewage. It turned out to be a minor blip in...

We spent a week at Timber Trails in cabin #3. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed. The deck overlooks the lake for enjoying the sun and watching beautiful sunsets. The resort is quiet and safe; the cabins are clean and comfortable. Our kids had a great time on the playground, playing at the beach and participating in...

My family and I have been traveling to resorts in northern MN annually for over 30 years. We have visited many resorts over the years, most of which lure you with claims of ‘ultra-modern’ facilities that inevitably disappoint or service that is, at best, dubious. Timber Trails is different – it is a great MN resort with wonderful ownership and...

My favorite week of the year is spent with my family at Timber Trails. The cabins are homey and comfortable, the resort is on a great lake for fishing and having fun in the water, and the owners are friendly, helpful, and hardworking. Every year that we return the resort has new improvements. Great activities for entertaining the younger members...

My family has been going to Timber Trails every summer for over ten years. It is always the highlight of our year. The new owners (Tom and Kathy) have made some very impressive updates to the resort including a new lodge with a game room and an improved playground and beach area with kayaks and a paddle board. They also...

My family and I stayed at Timber Trails July of 2016. The cabin, lodge & playground were nice, except for having a mouse in our cabin!! The beach is very small and has a huge rock right out from the dock that is dangerous for kids. We had terrible weather it rained everyday except for 2 days out of 6...

The storm we experienced caused a significant amount of damage to the area. My husband and son-in-law spent all night (in the dark) clearing trees that were blocking the roads leading out to the highway – assuring that any fire/ambulance/police services would have access to the resort. We immediately set up our 3 generators to provide running water and sewer...

We arrived about 3:30 in the afternoon last Friday, parked our camper and launched our boat. Both Tom (owner) and Jonathan (Resort Assistant) were helpful in our parking and launching process. The resort is set up in a way where the roads and turns are a little tight for maneuvering. They do have a nice remote area to park trailers...
