We enjoyed a very spacious, nicely decorated room in a very quiet home with lots of character. Souix provided a delicious breakfast and we enjoyed the option of having it delivered to our room. This location is perfect for a romantic getaway to relax by the fire, read and play games within the room, and enjoy the double wide hot-tub....

We had a wonderful stay at the Golden Lantern. Not fans of Victorians, the Golden Lantern suited us perfectly. Very comfortable bed, interesting history, and so close to downtown and all it has to offer. If was a perfect place to rendezvous with our friends form Zumbrota, have dinner downtown, and then go back to a toasty fire in the...

We had a delightful stay at this BandB. Souix, the owner, was super friendly. This home was beautiful. This may be one of the spacious rooms we have had. Bed was comfortable, and the gas fireplace added a homey feel. Breakfast was excellent. Would like to return in a warmer month to see the gardens.

The room - Helen's - was beautiful. There was a lovely side room with a day bed and gas fireplace. It was great for a romantic bottle of wine and talking after a long day. The only down side was that the temperature of the water would fluctuate uncomfortably in the shower.

We enjoyed a quick overnight stay in the Hideaway room. The house and gardens are beautiful and Sioux was so informative about both. We enjoyed a warm welcome from the resident 4 legged friends, and had a very relaxing time. Breakfast was delicious - enjoyed our visit thoroughly. We would go back, and recommend!

The hideaway suite is the whole top level, and since we were there mid-week it was very quiet. The breakfasts were amazing and the owner very nice. The gardens are beautiful with a swing and many chair options. You were even given a fire starter, but since it was hot, we just stayed in the shade.

Stayed here for an evening. This was our second stay in a B&B, so I didn't have a lot to compare it to other than the first one we stayed at in Stillwater, which I thought was fantastic. We were nicely greeted by the owner who took the time to show us around the house and explain it's history. Something...

Our group stayed in three of the rooms. Each was unique and all were fabulous. The Hideaway on the top floor is spacious, quiet, and secluded. A smaller room next door makes this a great spot for a ladies getaway as well. Meg's Room has two bathrooms, a nice sized bedroom with jacuzzi, and a sitting room with fireplace. The...

My husband & I took an overnight bike riding trip this past weekend. Upon arriving, we were pleased with the welcoming curb appeal of the Golden Lantern. The owner cheerfully greeted us at the door and helped us bring our bikes to store in the garage. Back at the house, we were given a brief history and tour of the...

This is our 2nd trip to Red Wing and our first to the Golden Lantern. Innkeeper Sue runs a nice quiet large Depression era guest house a short walk from downtown and the River. She serves a tasty breakfast and the grounds are a great place to relax. We will definitely come here again when we want to escape from...
