My wife and I were given an surprise gift certificate for Candlelight Inn B&B from a friend of ours at church. He said that they had stayed there in the past and was really impressed with how beautiful it is and that the owners were so kind and welcoming that he wanted us to experience it for ourselves. Without question, he was spot on! Beautiful decor, tastefully decorated, and so warm and inviting. We stayed in the Butternut Suite and it was magnificent! Breakfast was unique and so yummy. The owners Dave and Eve are such sweet people that really care for others. They make this special place what it is......and we are thankful for the time we could spend there! Jeff and Dianne

I brought my adult daughter for a girls weekend get a way. When we arrived we were welcomed by the owners Dave and Eve. They showed us our room and told us there was refreshments waiting in the front hall if we’d like to help ourselves. Dave and Eve gave us recommendations where to get a bite to eat and places they enjoy going. We went to Jimmy’s at the St. James Hotel and were not disappointed. The breakfasts are SO delicious that Eve makes. The first morning it was a winter fruit compote with granola and Greek yogurt, blueberry/cream cheese bake with sausage and a little pot of chocolate with cream for desert. Dave and Eve told us the history of the house and the previous owners. They are super great about answering questions. The next day we had a quiche with wild rice and sausage or bacon in it along with the best cranberry/orange scone I’ve ever had. We also had an apple/pear soup and a delicious cup of vanilla custard with a blackberry on top. Dave and Eve again sat down with us and told us more about the house and great things they love about Red Wing. They make you feel so comfortable and do not make you feel rushed to leave at all. The friendliest people you will ever be blessed to meet. I can’t wait to return!!!

We stayed two nights at the Candlelight Inn in the Butternut Suite. A concert brought us to the area, but our delightful experience will definitely bring us back. From the moment we arrived, the Innkeepers, Dave and Eve, were friendly and hospitable. They made sure we had everything we needed to have a wonderful visit. The house is gorgeous, in a great neighborhood within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Our room was gorgeous, including a fireplace and a whirlpool bathtub. Every detail made our stay that much better from the décor and afternoon wine and snacks to the gourmet three course breakfast each morning. Dave and Eve shared some fun facts about the history of the house and the area. They also gave us many great tips for things to do in the area. We also really enjoyed spending time on the large front porch. The walls are thick. The bed and breakfast was fully booked, but we didn't hear a peep from the other guests. We had a great time and would highly recommend a visit.

A wonderful experience with delightful hosts, Dave and Eve. Beautiful home with interesting antiques, fabulous breakfast (homemade cinnamon rolls!) private baths, luxury linens, quiet location with restful front porch for relaxing. Wine and cheese in the later afternoons with homemade cookies and coffee always available. Stayed in the Queen Victoria room - colors were so soothing. This is a wonderful home and you should stay two nights to experience the quaint town and nearby sites. Don't rush away - Dave gave lots of recommendations to see. Bike the Cannon Valley trail, visit the shops and restaurants which are walking distance from the Inn, take Dave's suggestions on relaxing drives... We will return to
