We live about an hour south of The Cantilever, but came to spend a night to celebrate a birthday. The craft cocktail menu is exceptional. The food is always good -- we've been here a few times for lunch or brunch and always try something different and it's always good. Enjoyed the outdoor hot tub - perfect temp (not too hot), and exceptionally clean with not the heavy chlorine smell. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud -- SO comfy - I didn't want to get up in the morning! Highly recommend a stay, or a meal and drinks at The Cantilever.

The staff have always gone above and beyond. We love staying here it is the best hotel we have ever stayed. I wish it was closer to where we lived we would go more often. But we stay here a lot and never have a bad thing to say. Truly a remarkable place to stay!!! It was the best way to spend my 30th birthday. Love this plaace

If you are going to spend time on or near Rainey Lake, the Cantilever Hotel and Distillery is a must stop and stay. The staff are cheerful and welcoming and willing to go the extra mile. The rooms are large and very comfortable. Even though it is right next to the railroad tracks, the trains are barely noticeable, I had no trouble sleeping through the night. I highly recommend The Cantilever and will be back.

What a great surprise! I didn’t realize that the hotel was on top of a custom distillery, and at first wondered if we had the right place. The ground floor includes the distillery, tasting room and restaurant. The second and third floors have spacious well appointed rooms. Our bathroom had a soaking tub. The third floor has a rooftop patio with views of the lake and a large hot tub and sauna ( both scrupulously clean and working well). There is also a yoga/dance studio on th third floor for guest use. I would definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, and the restaurant was wonderful. The staff was superb even though they were extremely busy with an upcoming event. The server had great recommendations.

Delayed by the train several times. We later found we could have detoured, but what a pain. Rooms are very nice and the bed was one of the most comfortable ever-not sure the last time I said that about a hotel bed. The walls have, I guess, no sound stopping ability at all, as we were awakened Saturday morning around 700 to one neighbor (301) talking and laughing loudly over his TV show, and the other neighbor in 303 apparently watching a Star Wars show by the music and also talking on the phone around 1030pm. Grab earplugs from the desk; you may need them unless you avail yourself of the Cantilever's spirits and fall asleep that way. Parking was not the easiest, with several muddy spots available in the evenings unless you get lucky

I loved this hotel. I enjoyed my stay a lot. The hotel had a distillery and bar on the first floor. The food from the restaurant was delicious. I used the sauna but did not get in the jacuzzi on the 3rd floor. There was a shower by the sauna to rinse off. The rooms had a unique quality to them. The bathroom was huge with a big walk in shower. The whole hotel was very clean and organized. The staff was extraordinary, very nice and helpful. The only thing that might effect some people's stay would be it being close to the train tracks. They did supply earplugs but it didn't bother me. It also has a lounge type area on third floor to relax, as well as a studio for yoga or exercise. They also had some good merchandise available to buy of their Brand.Overall...one of my favorite stays.…

This was a surprisingly delightful evening at the cantilever hotel. The rooms are very unique and tastefully themed. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are very quiet. The amenities were nice as well, including the hot tub, sauna and yoga room. Would love to come back again for a pleasure visit.

New, unique and trendy hotel. Food, drinks, rooms, rates and service all were excellent. Also so close to International Falls where we had lunch and did some shopping. We have already told alot of friends about our trip there.

The hotel is nearly perfect. It is by train tracks but the train go by slow and no horn so sleeping is not an issue for me. If you are a sound sleeper they have ear plugs but most people will not need them.
