We totally enjoyed staying in this beautifully renovated jail bed and breakfast! It's tucked away in the town of Preston, Minnesota. If you're bikers, this is the place to stay for a good night's sleep after biking the trails between Preston, Lanesboro, and Waylon. Our hosts were delightful, breakfast delicious, and the property so interesting. The imagination and decorating of...

We really enjoyed our recent stay in the Oriental room at the Jailhouse Inn. The room was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast, served in the lovely dining room. Breakfast was served for an hour, and we were free to arrive anytime in that timeframe. It was nice to have that flexibility and have...

We could now tell all our friends and family that we finally ended up in jail! This inn is a very cool historic building with all the rooms named after the jail functions that they originally served, ie the drunk tank, the processing room, etc. Some of the basement rooms even still have bars on them. It's an absolutely beautiful...

Stayed in the court room. Bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Whirlpool tub was nice after an afternoon of biking. Cookies in the evening were a nice touch and yummy. Guest kitchen has wine and bottled water for purchase. Breakfast was very good. Owners were incredibly nice and friendly.

What a charming place with a really cool history. The owners are extremely pleasant, fabulous cooks, and very knowledgeable about the area. We stayed in the jail cell, which is the actual old cell block of four cells that they have converted into three "bedrooms", two each with a queen bed, one with a twin; and a bathroom with a...

We stayed here for 3 nights in the Detention Room. Very cozy room with a super comfy bed and a single whirlpool bathtub. Had the balcony all to ourselves so did a lot of reading in the rocking chairs. The innkeepers were extremely kind, funny and helpful with things to do in the area. The breakfasts were amazing!! Loved our...

Stayed in the Sun Room. Host was very friendly and very helpful- gave great tips for area site seeing. Breakfast was fresh fruit, waffle, and potatoes with good coffee. The B&B certainly has character- historic but very comfortable.

We couldn't have planned a better weekend! The couple running the inn take wonderful care of the building. If you are able, rent the cell block room to feel like you're spending the night in the slammer! We had that room as well as the drunk tank and shared a semi private porch with rocking chairs. It was relaxing and...

If you like historic places, a delicious breakfast, and antiques, you'll enjoy the JailHouse Inn. If you're adventurous, you can even choose to stay in an old jail cell. Otherwise, the bedrooms are beautifully decorated with antiques and vintage decor. The dining room is wonderful, with natural light flowing in. We had a hearty, and scrumptious breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed...
