Old and run down hotel. Room furniture old and in poor condition. Room desk was missing trim and showing particle board underneath. Stained carpet. Mis-matched bulbs. No investment in facility for sometime. Constant odor from bathroom.

Wyndham should not be affiliated with this hotel. If I could have afforded to stay somewhere else after arriving, I would have immediately. First off, this hotel rooms are so outdated and furniture was so worn out and had a sticky/tacky feel. The carpeting had a residue that my socks stuck to. As you opened our room door, a powerful chemical smell hit you right away. Opened the window(surprised I could open them all the way on the second floor) to air it out. Helped a little. The bathroom has a tub that was stained and dingy. The tub surround had a screw that was used to keep it in place. The bathroom amenities were so low scale. The hand soap was so small and did not lather up well. Hangers: there wasn't any in my room. I had to request hanger twice and was delivered two. The beds were stiff and there was a charge if you requested an additional pillow. The safety door to our section worked most of the time, but based on what I saw, the door was gently closed so someone could enter without a key. Also, it looks like section 8 housing is accepted here(not a strong selling point). The breakfast area looked so run down and the coffee was not close to quality.

The only positive is it was a place to stay.. The room we stayed in was extremely dirty. Trash under the bed, dirty bathroom, night stands had what looked like food remnants. No hand soap. Issues with card reader at back entrance.

Stopped for some sleep on a cross-country trip. Room was close to outside entrance. Several patrons were out smoking and talking very late. Woke up to a police raid at 4:00 a.m. suffice it to say, did not accomplish our simple solitary task of receiving a good night’s sleep. The facilities are not the best kept by any stretch, either. This would’ve been fine had we been able to at least sleep. Would not recommend

We had a horrible experience at this hotel. I have tried contacting the manager but he conveniently is not in (not at 9 am or 4 pm or 7:30 pm on one day) or he had to leave for an emergency. I have called and left my number on 7 different times that I documented, not to mention the ones prior that I did not document. His voice mail if also conveniently full so cannot accept messages. I wrote him an email the night of our early departure and have not gotten a response to that. We booked the room through Priceline and that was our first mistake but here is the email I sent to the manager detailing our issues... I am writing to address our stay at your hotel, the Ramada in Plymouth, MN this past weekend. I had called the hotel a few times prior to our departure to make sure we had 2 adjoining rooms as we are a family of 5 and needed to be adjoining. I was first told the only available adjoining rooms were poolside and would be an extra charge per night. I agreed because as I said, we needed adjoining rooms. I called again to confirm the rooms the night before departure and there was some confusion as to if the rooms were poolside and if/what the upcharge would be. I was called back as promised the morning of the 22nd and agreed to the poolside rooms and additional charge. Upon arrival we checked into our rooms…160 & 162. We walked in and the rooms were muggy and hot. We proceeded to turn on some cool air to no avail. Room 160 never got below 74 degrees our whole stay even though we had it set at cold and 50 degrees. Room 162 never got below 71 and we had it set at the same temperature. Only 1 of the 4 beds had a blanket on it, which was fine because it was too hot at 70+ degrees to use a blanket but it makes me wonder if staff was aware of that and that’s why there was no blankets and just double sheets? The doors to the adjoining rooms were dirty and splattered with what looks to be a chunk of pizza sauce/ketchup in one spot and various other drippings of food. I took one of the limited washcloths and tried to clean it off as best I could but with no cleaning supplies other than shower soap, was not successful. The shower water in room 160 had good pressure when running the cold water, but when changing to hot, it just trickled out of the faucet making it impossible to take a shower and wash any soap off. We did not complain as we had the shower to use in 162 so were going to make the best of it. We didn’t want maintenance interrupting our stay and as we were already unpacked we didn’t want to move to another room. In the middle of the night my husband got up to go to the bathroom and found a German cockroach crawling across the floor (he has worked in pest control for over 13 years so knows what they are). We decided to still make the best of the stay and keep a look out for other critters. Upon our arrival back to the hotel for our second night’s stay on the 23rd, the pool was overcrowded with a ton of kids/people in an apparent birthday party that originated next to our room. Again, we were hoping to make the best of it. My husband went to the front desk to get more towels (there were only 2 bath towels in each room to begin with and we had gone through the 3 washcloths in each room with our family of 5 and me trying to clean the doors). He asked for 6 bath towels for us so we each had one for showering and one extra one as there were no towels in the pool. It appeared to be appalling to the front desk host to want that many. My husband reminded him we were a family of 5 and told him there were no pool towels. My husband said he did not bother to request any washcloths after that. I then went to request washcloths and the desk attendant said he was stepping away to put out pool towels so I waited for him in the lobby. As I was waiting, I witnessed a couple walking in on their phone (not carrying any luggage, only a purse and a grocery bag containing a gift), saying they were going to a birthday party and inviting whoever they were talking to that they could come on over if they wanted. When the desk attendant returned, he brought me the washcloths I requested. I asked him about all the people in the pool and he assured me that everyone in the pool was staying in a room. I asked if there would be a manager on duty the next day that I could speak to upon checkout on Sunday the 24th to address my issues and I was given your card. I did not want to say anything about the cockroach we found or all the other problems in front of other guests that were waiting to check in. I went back to our room with the full intention of staying our second night until the pool continued to explode with people. Kids spraying my kids in the face with water squirters, or just plain literally pushing water in their faces, kids hanging from the basketball hoop which was already drooping and hanging, etc. I know it is not the hotel’s responsibility for the guest’s behavior, but it was out of control. We had already decided we were going to leave because there was no way it was going to quiet down for the night after counting at least 40 people in the slide pool and knowing that with a birthday party sleeping overnight, it was not going to calm down. As I was starting to pack up our stuff, my husband was watching over our kids in the pool and witnessed someone do a backflip off the slide and almost land on my daughter and another kid. I immediately called the front desk to report this as apparently either parents did not give a crap about their children’s actions or they were nowhere near to monitor their behavior. After that, the pool did clear out a bit, but it was still as rowdy. I don’t know if it cleared out because hotel staff went down there or if enough other guests left due to the other unruly swimmers. I am hoping there is something you will do to help remedy this disaster of a weekend.

You get a very strong smell of Chlorine in the entire hotel, and the rooms. The maintenance is sub par. Torn carpets, doors that are a struggle to open with key cards, room AC's that make noise like drums.

I stayed for 10 nights at this location with my two children ages 17 and 14. I was looking for an affordable lower cost hotel that we could use as a base while visiting friends and family. The hotel positively met my expectations. I noticed some others had problems with some not working or broken items but we did not. Staff was very courteous and responsive. Our requests were attended to promptly. With a 10 night stay we got to know each other. The pool is not for adults and did not seem to be in very good shape, but we had no need for it. It was however always busy with young children.

Pros: I primarily chose this property due to it's location. I was traveling for my work, and this was within 2 miles to the jobsite. The room Air Conditioning worked very well on a hot/humid couple of days. There was not really too much else to give kudos for. Cons: Where do I begin? From the moment of arrival, there was trash (including a roll of toilet paper) in the parking lot near the front entrance, and beer bottles scattered throughout the lot and setting on the driveway sign post. The front desk staff seemed to be just ok, and not too thrilled to see me, even though I had a three night reservation. I was bombarded with questions of "How many people" and such, after I already answered I was alone and on business. Very annoying. The entrance to my room was at the far back of the complex. The door was damaged and unlocked. I wondered if it would be locked at night. Stepping through that door, was a disgusting stench, as if people had vomited and the carpet couldn't be cleaned enough to eradicate the smell. The hallway was better. My room door handle was loose, again, I wondered if it would be enough security. I honestly considered leaving at that point, but I was stuck do to my work assignment. Inside the room, things finally improved. It was mostly clean and smelled ok. General condition was fair. The cabinet/dresser had some damage as if a dog had been chewing the bottom, and someone had been carving the cheap particle board above the mini-fridge with a knife. The wall behind the trash can in the bathroom was filthy. I noticed this because I had to move the can to have room when stepping out of the shower. Speaking of the shower... there was NO shower curtain, and water sprayed everywhere and puddled on the floor, which soaked the towel I stepped on getting out. And lastly, (not counting the very hard mattress which is not too unusual for these properties), as I was sitting at the desk working on my computer, (WiFi sux!), water began leaking from the ceiling near the window! I called the from desk, was told he would be there in a few minutes, and NEVER showed or got a return call!! The leak finally stopped, so I dropped it and mentioned it at the desk the next morning when checking-out.

Not clean, there was mold in the bathroom, we did not use the shower, sink was barely attached to the wall. Towels were old and had thin spots in them. There were several broke items, door knobs laying on the floor, holes in the furniture, terrible experience, did not stay, we left.
