I stayed at the Paynesvile Inn and Suites for two nights as I was there to photograph a nearby wedding. Anyone that has stayed in a smaller town hotel knows, it can be really hit or miss with the quality of the hotel and ammenities that are offered. I was very pleasantly surprised by the available ammenities (coffee maker, fridge, microwave in the room; sauna, whirlpool, pool and breakfast in the general areas). Having realistic expectations (this is not a downtown city 5 star hotel) it was clean and reasonably preserved. Yes, some of the components were a little outdated (the shower curtain, heating/cooling unit, etc) but they were in decent operating condition. What made my stay great and why I give 5 stars is that the front staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, and the ammenities were great given other experiences I have had in smaller town hotels. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in that area of central Minnesota.…
We had reserved a 2 room King Suite with payment in full and a confirmation # prior to a wedding we were attending. On Saturday, June 20th, we called to see if we were able to have an early check in the day of the ceremony. The receptionist told us our room was not available as the prior guest chose to stay longer and they have a standard room for us. They refused to have the persons moved out of our room, also stating they would comp us $20.00! What if we wouldnt have called? We would have discovered this apon arrival. We were very upset as we have guests arriving to stay , and a 2 room was imperative. The receptionist was not going to make adjustments. Finally apon asking to speak with management we were given a one room King Suite with a pull out couch for 50 % off. We appreciated management intervention, but they must realize you cannot disregard communication with your guests.…
I rented a room for about a day and a half, but it’s worth the trip of relaxation and fun! The pool is great, the hot tub was relaxing, my room had a jacuzzi which made my stay amazing, the employees here were so kind and helpful, and overall it was just amazing! For about a day and a half of the trip for two, it does cost about $334-$336 if it’s just two guests. They allow pets, but you gotta call and verify you’re room is a pet friendly room. You need to be 18 or older to rent a hotel room. No smoking is allowed. The breakfast is very delicious and a variety of choices. Honestly, I’d love to come again!
We stayed here for our family weekend to visit my brother and sister-in-law who have an apartment near by. This was a perfect location to stay with large rooms, a great pool, and close proximity to some of the awesome lakes without the prices of staying right on the lake. We ended up being rained out one day so we couldn't go out on the boat but it didn't matter because we played in the pool and borrowed board games from the lobby to keep us occupied.
I travel for 42 weeks a year, I stay in all types of hotel/motels small town and large cities. I took a chance on this hotel, it was a good call. I walked up to the front door and the first thing I noticed was the parking lot was clean, the front door was clean, no cobwebs no trash laying around, trash can empty and not overflowing. Right after walking in the hotel I noticed this clean smell, front desk was clean and uncluttered, nice music playing at comfortable level, front desk staff friendly and very professional. Walking up the steps to my room the corners of the steps CLEAN! In my room that clean smell I noticed in at the front desk continued in my room. As I looked around my room I was totally amazed at the care the housekeeping staff took to keep the room clean. The corners where the walls meet the floor CLEAN, the A/C unit CLEAN, all the tops of the mirrors CLEAN, the bathroom CLEAN! As you can tell by this long review the theme of cleanliness continues throughout the room and the entire property. Breakfast area again clean and looked well stocked with the basics, I am not one that gets too impressed with breakfast offerings, I believe that a clean and comfortable room far outweighs a continental breakfast. I highly recommend if you are passing through Paynesville stay at this hotel you will not be sorry. I am posting some pictures to show how clean they keep the room. …
