Detailed Reviews
Owners are the kindest. Quaint well taken care of property all around. Beautiful sunsets. This resort is relaxing and beautiful. Each cabin has nice parking for boat trailer and car for the week right next to each cabin. It's a level short distance to dock from cabins. Cabins are all in great condition. Docks are sturdy & have plug ins. Boat launch is close and easy on and off the lake with DNR checking boats keeping the lake clean of critters.

Bear Paw Resort is an excellent choice for a summer family vacation. Very nice, clean and well equipped cabins. Owners and staff are all very friendly and make you feel at home. Kids had a great time with the paddle boats, paddle boards and swimming in general. Each cabin has their own charcoal grill and a fire pit (2 bundles of fire wood is provided during your week stay). The only drawback to our stay was the pesky mosquitoes. Unfortunately, we were unable to sit outside on the deck in the evening without getting chewed up from all the mosquitoes even with layers of bug spray on. Cabin #10 had a nice screened in porch which provided some protection from the unwanted guests. Resort is easy to find and in close proximity to shopping in Park Rapids.

Took advantage of a Fall Special to check out near by Lake Itasca State Park and view the fall leaves at a resort we hadn't been too. What a pleasant surprise. The cabins were in excellent shape with all new appliances and steps away from beautiful Two Inlets Lake. The cabins and grounds are obviously taken well care of as everything looks new. We took one of their pontoon boats out for a ride around the lake for an added bonus to our fall show of color. Everyone who works there was as nice as could be and there is plenty here to keep a family busy all week. The biggest surprise was their WIFI set up. It's accessible from anywhere in the resort. I mean anywhere, we even had service out on the dock. I highly recommend this resort for any family or couple looking to enjoy some time "up north".

We've been to many resorts, this year was our 3rd at Bear Paw. Everything we were looking for in cabins, distance to our dock level in front of our cabin, and AMAZING sunsets and wild life at it's best. The owners of this resort are very personable and helpful. It's so nice to have owners that care about you and want to visit a bit every day in the lodge or just out and about on the property. You cannot get nicer people that care so much and that are proud of how clean and kept up their property is. Make this your vacation spot and you too will experience relaxation like you never have before.

We can’t say enough good things about Bear Paw Resort. They think of everything and make your stay so relaxing. The resort is welcoming, the cabins are clean, have lots of shelving to keep things organized, and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen has every dish, pan, and utensil you’d ever need. It was nice to travel light and rent one of their boats. It ran great and was docked right in front of our cabin. Having our own fire pit right next to our cabin and overlooking the lake was so peaceful. Oh, and don’t wait til your last night to order their pizza. It was delicious and we wish we would have ordered sooner! We look forward to returning in the future. Perfect place to unwind!

Yes, we are proud of our handmade pizza! And if you need any other kitchen items, just ask. I can probably find it in our own house! Look forward to seeing you this summer!

The cabins and lodge are beautiful, playground is nice, and they take very good care of the grounds. Their rental boats and pontoons are very nice. The owners and staff are friendly and went the extra mile to make sure we felt welcome and had everything we needed. We rebooked for next year and looking forward to another wonderful family vacation!!

We love this resort, we have searched for years for our perfect vacation resort. 2022 was our 4th year. Bear Paw has a fishing guide that is more than accommodating for whatever kind of fishing. The owners are very friendly and kind. Two Inlets lake has the most beautiful sunset out of the cabin windows. If you are a bird watcher there are many kinds of birds to observe.

Our family is back again for a fun filled week at Bear Paw Resort. We changed cabins this year and found it to be very clean, spacious and having everything we needed for the week. Because of the virus, we had to bring our own towels and pillows, not a problem. While there, we boated, fished, swam at their sandy beach, and enjoyed a fire every night. Doug, Ruth and Danny were super hosts. Can’t wait till next year.

This was our 8th year of coming to this resort. First time with the new owners. It was still great. We have 4 or 5 of the cabins every year for our family. We still enjoyed the clean cabins at check in and the cleanliness of the resort. Each cabin can have it's own fire or like us, fit 15+ around one ring. It's all about getting family together and this resort exactly meets our needs! Definitely recommend!

We've been bringing our family of 4 to Bear Paw since 2012. Our girls have grown up on the beach, the Bongo, the paddleboards. They've gone from the playground to the basketball courts - there is entertainment for every age. The addition of the lodge a few years ago was great and gives another option for a rainy day. Favorite stops off the resort are the Sunday Mass at the grotto just a few miles away, candy stores and shopping in Park Rapids, Evergreen Amusement Park for mini-golf and games, Itasca State Park for crossing the headwaters and bike trails, the Character Challenge Course, and meals out in Dorset and at the Logger's Camp. Cabins are clean and well-maintained. We've made dear friends who return every year the same week we do. I'm certain Bear Paw will remain in my kids' best childhood memories for the rest of their lives. You can't go wrong here.
