Katie (the owner) worked with my mom and I to arrange two rooms together with a shared deck to celebrate my mom’s birthday. We loved our stay. It’s a great location across from the beach on the lake. We were fortunate as there was an event with live bands playing a couple of blocks from the house one day. Also, Main Street is a few blocks as well, along with the Heartland Trail, where I biked to Dorset and back with another guest’s bike. (Minnesota nice.) if needed, we could reach the owners by text or phone but this is, in my opinion, a great concept as the owners never hovered or were in our space. Our breakfast each morning rotated from sweet to savory offerings and it was plentiful and delicious each day. There is coffee/tea/water available all day and chocolates. The owners put “to go” items in the refrigerator for us the last day as we left early. As there are only a few rooms, we only dined with one or two others, and they were fun to dine with. The rooms were tastefully decorated in the style of the home built in 1912 and the rooms had great air conditioning, a mini fridge, comfortable bedding and towels, great seating a dvd/smart tv with plenty of dvds to choose from, hair dryer and ear plugs in case squeaky stairs are bothersome. The owners even gave my mom a small gift for her birthday and their new store in town, Tipsy Canoe, is filled with local goodies. We highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

We stayed at Park Street Inn for a girls trip! Walking into Park Street Inn was like being transformed back into 1800's royalty. We spent a solid hour just walking around and looking at all of the immaculate finishes and extras. This place has been very well maintained. Very clean. There wasn't even dust on the light fixtures that's how clean this place was. I'm talking clean like a hospital. The carved woodwork, the gorgeous front deck, the fireplace....all just stunning. The bedding was so comfy! We asked the owners where they get their sheets. We slept like a baby. Each room is updated with air conditioning so you can enjoy 1800's charm with modern luxuries. The bathtubs in the rooms are to die for. Some have whirlpool tubs perfect for romance or relaxation. One had a large clawfoot tub. The library is beautiful, stocked with books and games. The front room has a lake view. It's perfect for morning coffee. The breakfast each morning was nothing short of gourmet. Breakfast burrito's, breakfast hash with farm fresh eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh coffee. We were truly spoiled! The town has so much to do, we are jealous that we don't live there. Live bands in the town, really cool shopping like the Tippy Canoe in the little downtown area. The bike trail is super popular. Lots of lake recreation and options. The owners were helpful, accommodating and really blew us away with their hospitality. This B&B should put Minnesota on the map. We can't wait to return! Perfect for a girls trip!!!

I loved my experience at The Park Street Inn. I had never even heard of the place until the day before I booked, and I was able to easily book a stay for that weekend. There was a bit of a miscommunication when it came to the price of the room, but they cleared it up immediately without any worry.
The location isn't somewhere you'd think to spend the night, but Nevis is an adorable little town...emphasis on little. It's within a half hour of a bunch of other fun towns, and the house is across the street from a gorgeous lake. That made for a beautiful evening stroll.
The house is adorable. It feels like you're stepping back in time. They had a lovely front room for people to relax in, and a nice coffee and tea set-up available 24/7.
Our room was delightful. All of the amenities were there for us, including an in-room mini fridge stocked with water, which as fantastic to have.
Plus, there was a whirlpool IN THE ROOM. I can't overstate how great that was.
The new owners, Katie and Mike, were delightful. They were very respectful of COVID rules, wearing masks and social distancing. That was important because this was our first trip out of town in more than a year and we we wanted to be safe. They set us up well when we got there, including telling us about all the food options in town, complete with in-room menus for them.
They were delightful to visit with and have a fun story about how they ended up owning a B&B.
And then there's the breakfast. OMG, the breakfast. My frittata was to die for! It was packed with bacon and so many vegetables. I felt like I was eating a decadent health food. Plus, the breakfast started off with a delightful fruit cup with homemade whipped cream.
I'd say the only drawbacks were due the age of the house. You could hear people going up and down stairs from our room, and the door to our room didn't seem to quite fit the frame and was hard to push open.
The price is about average for a B&B from what I've seen. But I think it's a good value.
I'd go back in a heartbeat.

My husband and I stayed here over a long weekend. We stayed in the red room because it had the extra room on the porch where we could store our extra stuff. There is an extra bed in there as well as a table and chairs. The bed was comfortable, the linens were of good quality, and the room had a hot tub which was the perfect treat after a day of cross-country skiing. We tried 3 different trails, all were excellent: well groomed trails, gorgeous views. The new owners were fantastic. The place was spotless, COVID standards maintained and the breakfasts were gourmet level yet not too rich or overwhelming. Due to COVID we did take out for the evenings and Nevis is not far from good restaurants, we lived it up on our little get away.

The Park Street Inn is a delight. The Inn is beautiful and the breakfasts are wonderful. The owners are very sweet and helpful with recommendations and information about the area. Our room - Blue Room - was large and very comfortable. The Inn is conveniently located near Itasca State Park. We could walk to the Iron Horse restaurant in Nevis - great food and service. We also would recommend shopping at The Tippy Canoe Gift Shop. in Nevis. Highly recommend and hope to return.

This was by far one of the best experiences I've had across the board when it comes to Air BNB, etc. - and my family would say the same. Mike & Katie were so hospitable and flexible, and treat house guests like they are family of their own. Each morning they provide a home-cooked breakfast, and just overall made staying here a 10/10 experience. Highly, highly recommend!

It's exactly what you want from a B&B in north MN. Katie and Mike are wonderful hosts. The house is quaint, (literally) historic, and beautiful. The breakfasts are delicious. The location is incredible. The house is immaculate (at one point they walked us through their Covid protocols, and how much sanitizing and laundry they do, and you can tell how much they take cleaning seriously. Good ventilation, too). You can't go wrong with this place.

It's quiet, but it's right by a lake, playground, and small beach, and easy driving distance to Lake Itasca and Park Rapids. The businesses and restaurants in Nevis are just steps away. And the hosts will help you if you need suggestions.

We went here for our wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect. Cannot recommend this place enough. And again, the breakfasts. I don't kid around about breakfasts, and the breakfasts at Park St. are amazing.

April in northern Minnesota can bring a wide variety of weather, but we knew we would find the relaxing time we'd hoped for at the Park Street Inn. This was our 3rd visit and each time it has exceeded our expectations. We chose the Grotto and it was more spacious than we realized from the photos. Everything was very clean. Hot tub was grand, the fine bedding linens added to the deep sleep we experienced. Breakfast was an elegant treat and our dietary needs were honored graciously.
Our day was set to go explore the area trails, but the snowy day encouraged us to enjoy the living room fire and play a couple of games of cribbage instead and pick a DVD from the big collection. We look forward to coming back later and bring our bikes for the nearby Heartland trail!

The Park Street Inn is just the place for an up north getaway! The owners are so accommodating! They let us stay one night and change our date due to weather. The bnb had all the little touches including movies and games for nights in and recommendations for things to do and places to eat. You’re not going to want to eat out because the breakfast was delicious! We were offered seconds that we couldn’t turn down! We had a lovely conversation with the owners and it felt like a home away from home. The snow was even brushed off our car before we left. The couple is so personable and kind. We are looking forward to visiting again!

The breakfast here are so delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. The rooms are comfy, cozy and quiet. They really made us feel special. We can’t recommend it enough!! Make sure to check out there shop down the street, The Tippy Canoe. It’s full of fun gifts and tasty treats.
