There was no maid service. We had to go to the front desk to ask for more towels and shampoo. Other than that it was a great place to stay. They may have just been short on employees like the rest of the world these days.
The staff was super friendly and welcoming! The rooms were clean, the bed was slightly uncomfortable but ok. The water slide was getting repairs while we were there but you could still use the pool and hot tub at least. Great options for a quick breakfast in the morning. We were there for a wedding and the venue on site is great!! Plenty of entertainment for the kids, bowling, arcade, swimming, lots of fun by everyone.
Facility was clean and nice, waterslide wasn't working so that was a bummer. The attached bar and bowling alley was a nice surprised that we enjoyed. Staff was all very kind and accommdation. It's a nice hotel but nothing was "wowing" about it.
Would have giving a excellent but pool area had bugs and the slide was down, one of the rooms tv wasn’t working properly. The breakfast was wonderful as always and the rooms where clean as well. Good place and has multiple things to do without going outside bowling, arcade and swimming that usually has pool slide.
The lobby area was beautiful and clean. They had a great breakfast selection. The kids had a blast in the pool area. Nice warm water. The rooms definitely could use a renovation and good cleaning. But, the receptionist Laura made up for all the flaws. She was so helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay again
Have stayed here on several occasions. Always clean rooms and clean hotel. People have always been helpful and friendly. Great having the restaurant/bar and gameroom attached. The bowling alley is fantastic as well. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great hotel--nice breakfast selection and the indoor pool and water slide is perfect for a family get-away. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. And it's attached to a bowling center with a nice bar and restaurant.
Not the greatest place in the world but it got us through the night. The water slide in the pool was nice but the water was very cold. The beds were okay, I found a stain on the top cover but it wasn’t too bad. Breakfast was decent. It was fairly clean.
My wife, my children and I decided to take a quick, in-town night away for the weekend. We have stayed at some of the other hotels in the city that have kid-centric fun on-site and thought we’d try The Mermaid and AmericInn due to their amenities (pool with water slide, on site bowling alley, restaurant and arcades etc) and distance to our home. We found our stay very comfortable and the staff, including Shaun, Evelyn, Ernie and several others to be polite, caring and invested in our stay. The hotel had a large wedding with several very rude and boisterous groups and individuals staying the same night we did. The hotel staff did a good job keeping the yelling, marijuana use, harassment etc by these folks apologized-for and to a minimum the best they could (note: I received no discount or compensation, I just know they were trying their best). My favorite interactions with the folks from this wedding was the following: I encountered someone in dress clothes in the hallway and said, “you must be here for a wedding.” She replied, “yes, I am, it has been...dramatic to put it nicely.” I would recommend this hotel and entertainment complex any time as a destination for a close-to-home getaway. You may want to ask if they have a wedding going on or any other event that may damper your stay (note: not all weddings will have the same environment as the one we witnessed but just beware).…
Staff were awesome. Clean room, internet worked well for all three of us. Room big enough for the three of us. Very clean pool area and fun pool area. Location was close to shopping, food and gas stations.
