If your goal is to stay in downtown Minneapolis, close to the convention center, then this hotel hands down is a winner! Access via skywalk to convention center and other nearby establishments. Hotel Ivy has valet parking or covered public parking right across the street. There is a lobby bar, restaurants and a spa. We ordered room service a couple times and also ate in the lobby restaurant, the foods were well prepared and delicious. Upgraded room on a higher floor was a good size. The water pressure in the walk-in shower was good. The staffs were very friendly and responsive. They didn't always get housekeeping instruction done correctly but they were eager to correct their mistakes. We would definitely stay here again.
My daughter got married in Minneapolis on 5/28/22 and we used Hotel,Ivy as the host hotel. We had some guests back out from reservations at the last moment and fell short of our block requirement. They kindly forgave the shortfall, anyway. The hotel is beautiful and elegant. We had booked a suite the level below the penthouse for the bridal party to get ready and the next lower tier suite for the groomsmen. The bridal suite, through no fault of the hotel, smelled of a particular flavor of smoke, and after an attempt to clean it, still wasn’t immediately acceptable. One of the managers, Ziena, worked hard to try to make it right. Ultimately, she gave my daughter the penthouse. Additionally, my hard of hearing elderly father locked my son out of the room they were sharing with the deadbolt, thereby preventing staff from being able to open it. He could not hear banging on the door. Again, the Hotel Ivy staff came through, supplying my son with a room for the night without charge. It was so refreshing to see a business look out for guests. That is the way one gets loyal customers and count us as such! Thank you, Hotel Ivy and Ziena! Monellos was fabulous for dinner, as well. Scott Westenberg…
Had a couple drinks in the bar while they prepared the Grand Suite for me. Lisette was great at making sure everything was perfect for the hotel and the Fruit platter and Wine from the Manager was also pretty amazing. Jack at the bar mixed great drinks and had awesome gin recommendations, and Sam made sure that everything post checkin was smooth and I got everything I needed (like prompt Ice and more bathroom products)
Incredible hotel! The spa is the best in Minnesota. Brought my best friend here for massages and girls night. It was her birthday and so they have a complimentary bottle of bubbly sent to the room. Front desk staff were incredibly attentive.
Stayed here for a couple of nights on business recently. It was a little eerie, as we hardly saw any other guests, but to be fair the whole city was quiet. Checkin was easy. The rooms were very well appointed. Great bathroom and lovely tub. Staff were extremely friendly. Special mentions to Zenia at reception, and the lovely Vivi, at breakfast. So friendly and pleasant. If i was in the area agin, I would definitely stay here.
Very friendly staff. Room was very clean and comfortable, good views. Good location. Great restaurant attached. From check in u til check out the staff were pleasant and eager to help while not being intrusive. Just a very nice place to stay and relax if you’re in Minneapolis. Close to the convention center. Connected to the skywalk system.
We stayed for one evening to attend a Vikings game. The hotel is about a mile from the stadium. We used a suite upgrade and were given a very large room. The room was nice (maybe a little dated) but very well maintained and clean. The restaurant had a very limited menu for the holiday so we had dinner someplace else. Overall a nice hotel that we would recommend.
Top notch service in the restaurants and Anda Spa! We went on a girls spa weekend and were so relaxed. Highly recommend for a restorative weekend - high class from start to finish. The Monello Restaurant and Lobby Bar are lovely. Spa bathroom was pristine.
Excellent luxury hotel with overall good service. It’s on a one-way street and the hotel entrance is on the left so if you miss you’ll have to circle back. We paid for a higher end room and it was spacious and quiet, although storage was a little inefficient. Front desk staff was nice and helpful. Only downside was that there isn’t a pull-in for parking, meaning that you’re passengers are opening the car door and exiting onto the street.
Anda Spa cancelled our couple's massage less than two hours before our appointment! We initially booked a couple's massage on September 21st, for October 11th to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We let them know the special occasion via email as well. On the morning of October 11th, they called at 8:36am to cancel our 10:15am appointment. They said it was "due to an unforeseen absence". They said they could still do one appointment, however I told them to cancel the whole thing. We booked a couple's massage for a reason and not to have separate appointments! They did not apologize or try to rectify the situation in any way other than saying they would cancel free of charge like that was a special benefit being provided. This is absolutely unacceptable.
