My friend and I chose to stay here for a weekend and it was the worst. (I live in Minneapolis and do staycations often so I am familiar with hotels in Minneapolis). Where to start.... 1) I booked this hotel via Expedia and once arriving was told we had to pay $300 in “incidentals.” (Or $100/night). I was never told about this before and when my card would not work, she told me I had to keep inserting it. We attempted to pay with another card but alas, we would have had to call Expedia to do that because it was impossible to pay with my friends card since the reservation was in my name. NEVER have I heard of this before... outrageous and bad customer service. This is the only hotel in Minneapolis where I’ve experienced having to put a hold down for “incidentals.” 2) Parking is $30/night. Also outrageous. I’ve never stayed at a hotel in Minneapolis where this has been the case. 3) It’s 2020 so wifi is free right? WRONG. Have to pay unless you’re a member of the Hilton honors. 4) We were here for 3 nights. We understand our room won’t be cleaned given Covid and that’s fine. However, we called down to see if we could get toilet paper brought to our room since we were out. Could we? NOPE. Honestly the price is too expensive for such awful customer service and the fees are extensive. If you’re looking to stay somewhere where you won’t be treated like a guest, this is the place for you!!

Hotel's Favorite
DoubleTree Suites never fails to impress. My family and I (9 of us), stayed here for only a couple of days. When we first arrived at the hotel (it was about 12/1am), the guy at the front desk quickly checked us in and offered us bottled waters which I really appreciated after a long flight and of course the one and only warm, crunchy on the outside but satisfyingly chewy on the inside DoubleTree cookies (yes...the description is necessary lol). Additionally, there was a security at the front desk (who was there for the night & was really helpful throughout our stay) that came up to our rooms with extra pillows. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with two double beds and a sofa pull out ensuring there's enough space (there are other room options available). Similarly, the bathroom was very clean, a bit on the small side but we made do for the couple days we were there. What I noticed was that the security was present every night and the revolving doors would be blocked off so guests would have to use their key cards to enter, preventing persons who weren't staying from entering- for added security. The manager/supervisor who (was also very kind and obliging) would also at the front desk sometimes. For the first and second day, the hotel had cook to order breakfast which was incredible (the other days was a buffet which was also nice). Sabrina (our waitress at breakfast) was very polite, cordial and always had a smile on her face. She also helped make us a list of some places of interest in Minneapolis which was very thoughtful. Furthermore, every morning (when not busy) the chef would come out of the kitchen to say hi. The hotel is located in an excellent location with lots of places to eat, drink or just hang out nearby. With a superbly accommodating staff and congenial rooms. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town. Would recommend staying at this hotel.

Friendly staff. Good location that is walkable to many attractions. Common areas and rooms are not the most modern, but in general comfortable. The culprit for me here is the room noise. Conversations, television, and other noise from adjacent rooms made for a rather unpleasant stay.

Has a good location but parking is a bit tough and pretty expensive. Rooms are large but definitely updating. Old style toilets, sinks, furniture.... Heating/AC system was loud and inconsistent Mattress was old and was wornout!

As a long time Hilton brand customer, I have been disappointed in my last 2 stays. My last stay was the Hilton conf center. The Hilton brand does not appear to have the same level of service or value.
