I planned a couple days to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday and decided to go with Millennium because it was near Nice Bikes and a couple restaurants we wanted to try. I requested conjoining rooms during my booking and called and spoke to someone the night before and was told they would make sure they passed along the request and assured we would be taken care of. This was incredibly important because my daughter was going to have her boyfriend join us and as a parent I wanted the door to remain open between the rooms. Well, when we got there I was told they were unable to put us in conjoining rooms and we ended up being several doors down from one another. The next morning when I got up and took a shower I go to close the shower curtain and felt a washcloth. It was a washcloth from the previous guest! It was filthy and filled with pubic hairs. Absolutely terrible experience. I called down to the front desk and explained what I found and the man at the front desk told me check out was at 11:00! Not an apology but rather why haven’t you checked out yet? (My booking actually indicated 12:00.) I told him I wanted someone to come up to my room to address my concern. He said he would have someone come up. No one ever came. I went downstairs at noon and spoke with the man who took my call and expressed my frustration and how unprofessional it was to be told it was past checkout time when I just found a washcloth filled with pubic hairs hanging on the shower rod. He asked me to wait to speak with the manager who was helping another guest. The manager was professional but told me she was unable to offer compensation because I didn’t book the room directly with the hotel. I provided pictures of the washcloth I found. She did offer my family to go pick out some snacks and beverages as a courtesy. The hotel itself wasn’t terrible but unfortunately the experience that we had was unpleasant to say the least. It’s unfortunate because I wanted our experience to be memorable for the right reasons.

This hotel may have been classy in the past but it is in poor shape at this point. The first two nights it was like a ghost town. The third night there was a lot of partying probably due to a football game the next day. Men pounded on our hotel door insisting for us to let them in and the proceeded to party in the room next door with loud shouting and music. It felt very unsafe so we switched rooms. The heating/air conditioning in both rooms we had did not work at all and I had to wear my coat to sleep two of the nights. The walls and furniture had many nicks and dents.

This is a standard downtown business hotel. My room was large and overlooked a park - it was nice to have this vantage and light. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet, but otherwise nothing too notable. If you need to work from downtown Minneapolis it's a solid option.

First off, it's just a three star and rightly so. The bed looked comfortable and the bedding clean. The carpeting wasn't bad although the furnishings looked used. I let my brother stay there and he couldn't sleep because the room was right above the A/C units for the building. I requested a room change and the clerk tells me they're totally booked, while not even making eye contact. Now, I tried to call prior to my reservation to let them know I'd be a late arrival and not give my reservation away. I was told someone is there 24hrs/day, huh? Anyway, I finally get a room change, brother's happy. Now, I find the multiple charges to my card. I contact the manager and she doesn't know the difference between a debit and a credit. No one answers when you call accounting, Crazy! I was charged twice for 239.46 for no apparent reason. Maybe the hotel uses whatever card is available to pay their bills. Slick way to use money w/o being charged. Money on hand at all time.

The front desk staff were checking people in with no smiles, no emotion, acting like they would rather be somewhere else. Our king room was basic. The bathroom had paint peeling/bubbling. The room was initially too warm due to an old wall AC unit, but we finally got it cooled down. Definitely not a $400/night place to stay!

Awful customer service incompetent bell boys.. it took Sam and yuan about 20 minutes to locate my reservation. Parking was unavailable as the key would not work to let us in.. I would say avoid this hotel at all cost! You might pay more at Loews or the four seasons but we’ll worth it

I called in to see if I could get a room with a view for my daughter's 13th birthday, which was a surprise for her. I spoke with Tionna and not only was she incredibly polite and friendly, she went out of her way to have someone go up and check on the room that was currently available to see the view. She said it was only a partial view but she would keep an eye on the rooms being checked out of and try to get us a better view...AND SHE DID!! What a fantastic view and what a fabulous effort by Tionna to make our stay special. I have been in Sales / Customer Service Management for awhile and I would be so happy to have her on my team! The hotel itself was very nice! The room was clean, bathroom was spacious, pool was heated (very warm!) and the sauna was clean and hot! It is perfectly situated by a ton of restaurants; very walkable and also close enough to downtown, North Loop, and Uptown. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed here for 2 nights in the summer of 2022. We were very disappointed with both the service we received and the state of the rooms. When we walked into the hotel, we were impressed with the beautiful lobby, but it was all downhill from there. Our rooms were very, very clean which was greatly appreciate, but our rooms looked like they were in the middle of being renovated. The bathroom walls had numerous nicks and dents. The Bathroom tub would not drain properly so we ended up showering in ankle deep water. We were only give 2 towels and 2 wash clothes. The furniture was also very beat up. After we spent the first full day out shopping at the mall, we came back and found out that our room had not yet been cleaned. It was never cleaned, nor were our linens refreshed throughout the entire stay. The hotel staff don't seem to care about their jobs. We saw many of them standing around, and ignoring guests who needed assistance. The hotel bar and restaurant were not open during our stay and we struggled to find suitable dining options throughout the downtown. I was shocked at the lack of customer service we received during our stay. Upon check out we were told we had to pay for parking. Our travel agent booked this room with a Free Parking voucher. The staff member at the front desk told us, "That's just something we tell people in order to get them stay here, we don't actually honor it." This final encounter with the check out desk was more than enough for me to confidently say that I will not be staying at this hotel again.

I feel a bit harsh awarding a 2, but it certainly wasn’t a 3… It was OK, but it certainly wasn’t nice. On arrival the room didn’t feel clean and was missing things like an ice bucket. The comforter smelled bad - like it hadn’t been dried properly/been kept somewhere damp. Housekeeping did come at my request and the housekeeper who did come was great and did a brilliant job making it feel really clean, so I can’t fault them at all. The room was really grey and dingy and in need of new paint and a new carpet. Faint smells of cigarette smoke in the room. Reception staff were OK - not very forthcoming with information but friendly enough. The hotel is huge and anonymous, and whilst I don’t want to say that I felt unsafe at any point, as that would be an exaggeration, I just didn’t always feel 100% comfortable - double locked the door every night and definitely used the safe. Also, the outside of the windows were so dirty that it was hard to see what was going on in the street. There was no room service available (which I do understand, as Covid is still rife) and rooms were only serviced on request. In conclusion, I would not choose this hotel again.

Hotel has seen better days. Looks like it's barely holding on. My air conditioning doesn't work, room chair is broken/unusable, staff numbers minimal and poorly prepared, no amenities--none at all (fitness, business, food or bar). Many better choices in the area. I don't know how Trip Advisor could rate it 4 stars. Not possible.
