The check-in experience was a little abrupt. There was a woman directing traffic as people were entering the building. She seemed a bit on edge until I was able to crack the ice with her. She loosened up a bit after that. My room was great. The bed was comfortable. The shower was weird. When I turned on the water, the pressure was great for about :05 and then it cut back to half of the power it had when I turned it on. There was a VERY noisy guest next to me who had someone in their room that was RAISING HIS VOICE AT 3AM FOR WHATEVER REASON. I called the front desk and they handled things through security. The next night, Sunday the 28th, the guests who checked in and were staying on my floor (4th) CLEARLY have no idea about common courtesy when it comes to other guests staying on the same floor. I, MAYBE, slept for about 3 hours (total) from 9p to 4a when I had to be up for the Blue Line at 4:49. Overall, I like the hotel ...a lot. If there's a takeaway from any of this, it's that the staff at the front desk please remind guests to be courteous to others on the floor and to be mindful of the time when they're roaming the halls. I found the hotel through the Hotel Tonight app. I'd like to come back and stay there again during hockey season. The location is great, there's food nearby, the streets were clean, and accessibility to the light rail is a cinch. Thank you for taking the time to read this.…
Kinda expensive, but that's because of the location. It's a basic hotel. Clean. No frills. I read here to avoid the rooms with no windows, so I called the hotel ahead and asked them to give me a window room. Was glad I did. I think room next to me was empty, so I didn't get a sense of the noise level. I did hear street noise, but that's to be expected in a big city. It's a pandemic, so hard to tell regarding some things. For example, I left a tray that I had brought up from the restaurant with a coffee pot and cups on it, and it sat outside my room for 72 hours. Was still there when I left. The front desk people were super nice. I had a headache upon checkin and the nice front desk lady gave me waters, extra coffee refills (I asked) with creamer and sugar, all in a little bag.
We booked a stay here to be close to the stadium & were extremely happy with our stay. Anita was extremely welcoming, friendly & helpful as soon as we entered the lobby. She gave us maps & helped us with navigation questions for getting around the city. She also came up to us the next morning as we were checking out & asked us how our evening & stay was. Loved her! We also had a great server for a very nice breakfast. David was very nice & the service and food was great & quick. And Muhamed (Ali 😀) at the check in desk was sweet & fun. Room was also very nice & clean. Bathroom was nice & stocked. All in all. Great stay!
Hotel was very nice and clean. Staff was very friendly, especially Anita, the manager that we dealt with on checkout. There was a problem with our reservation and she came through and was able to give us the quoted rate that we were promised. I am very thankful for her service and dedication
Excellent accommodations. Great location. Wonderful restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Mohamed worked the front desk for both days of our stay and was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would highly recommend.
We stayed over a weekend in early May, and we were disappointed at the outset because despite having two rooms reserved, they were unable to get us into at least one a few hours earlier than check-in. Lobby floors and tables were stained with coffee. Could have been tidier. Restaurant off lobby was nice and accommodating. Bartender was super courteous and attentive for our lunch needs. Once we got in our rooms (much later), we found them comfortable and clean. Liked having our remotes in plastic…I hope that means they were, in fact, disinfected. Will likely try this place again.
Friendly staff, lovely rooms, and comfy beds. Despite being next to a road that currently has road works, we were not disrupted by noise. Great protocol of downstairs doors being locked at night. Would stay again if in Minneapolis.
I was in a 5th floor king. I found the staff to be kind and efficient. The bed was strangely uncomfortable (hard) with scratchy sheets. Additionally, I wished I’d thought about potential street noise. Between the bed and the streets noise until 3am, I was not able to sleep well at all. I don’t stay in hotels often, but when I do, I’ve always enjoyed sleeping in large comfortable hotel beds (kind of thought that was a given).
This hotel is very beautiful and a decent enough location downtown. The issues start with the room temperature being beyond uncomfortable, mostly cold and then taking a long time to time warm up. Once we got settled my boyfriend and I wanted to get a decent amount of snacks but the vending area is extremely limited having only candy and few soda options. Due to this we had to constantly leave the hotel to find decent snacks/food options. They do have a beautiful and romantic restaurant that most couples might like but we did not want to leave the room because by the time we got hungry we just wanted to watch some TV and relax. This hotel would be more suitable for solo trips or a business trip but not a very romantic getaway. The staff was very warm and courteous while dealing with a very large amount of people checking in the same day as my boyfriend and I.…
I used to stay at this hotel when it was the Radisson Blu. The pandemic allowed the Royal Sonesta brand to take over and the prices are now out of control. Regular rooms are affordable, average prices. The Business Suite is now almost 3x more money but the room is exactly the same. I'll never be back.
