Nice hotel, good location, but it's GM Andy Aldrich and his staff that make it an exceptional guest experience. I travel 20 days/mo for business and Andy and staff are among the best in the country. My stay was with a large number of colleagues; the staff couldn't do enough to ensure a memorable stay. Andy and all--many were dept heads filling in at the front desk---(Chee, Nina, Kelly, another) knew nearly all of our team by name and made us feel welcomed and valued. They were attentive, friendly, and professional no matter what the request. Andy is one of the best GMs in the country--hands on in every aspect of operations--and this reflected in his staff as well. (I don't think he takes a day off.) Due to Covid, the hotel was very short-staffed, but they worked tirelessly to make it a five-star guest experience. On two nights there were large groups gathered in the restaurant and bar areas, and despite the challenges, the staff handled it. Thanks for all Andy and team. We will be back.

I spent two weeks at this hotel for a work assignment and I can only say great things about the staff and the property. The general manager, Andy Aldrich, is top notch. He goes out of his way to be sure guests have what they need and are satisfied. He’s also humble and willing to do whatever is necessary (we saw him vacuuming the floor one day). Chee Jien Too, who works at the front desk, was also incredibly helpful and friendly. She goes above and beyond to be sure guests are happy and have all they need. *I have to mention that this hotel has a good sized pool and a nice workout room with a Peloton. There’s also a room or two with Pelotons in them but of course, they were booked when I arrived. I always work out when I travel so these things are important to me.* I will definitely stay at this hotel again whenever I’m in Minneapolis—and hopefully next time I’ll get the room with a Peloton in it.

Housed in a former bank the lobby is big and grand and features a nice bar. They have preserved the old vault and use it to display their fine wines. Being an old bank the rooms are a bit unique. Very tall ceilings reaching upwards of 14ft are one of the benefits, high windows that are hard to see out of are a minus. My room(#1125, 2 double beds) was clean and comfortable. Beds were soft and featured a pillow menu of 4 per bed of varying softness. Showers featured large raindrop shower heads which were a great touch. The location couldn't be much better, very close to all arenas and stadiums and a short stroll to the river walk. Parking was plentiful nearby and the delightful staff informed us of a garage that charges only $10 overnight. All Covid precautions were being followed and many of the normal amenities are not available yet. I wouldn't hesitate to return again.

Our daughter got married at the courthouse down the street. We reserved a boardroom to host a small dinner for 10, and we all stayed at the hotel for the weekend. This hotel is beautiful, but the highlight is definitely the staff! They are helpful, kind and so accommodating! They served a delicious meal in a room prepared beautifully with a wonderful view of downtown. They were so cautious, making sure to follow all Covid guidelines with masking, social distancing, and using gloves. Our rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious. We slept great as it was so quiet too! Andy, the General Manager, was involved with all aspects of our stay, going above and beyond making sure he met all of our expectations. Chee at the front desk was also so helpful, and always with a kind word and a smile on her face. We will definitely return to The Westin when staying in downtown Minneapolis!

Located in a historic bank building in downtown Minneapolis... the lobby and other main floor common areas are the star here. The room was nicely appointed, and mine had a decent view. The bed was possibly the most comfortable bed and pillows I’ve had in awhile. Bathroom was large, and had a large shower with huge rainfall type overhead shower. Staff was limited and house count still seemed eat down. Front desk staff were very friendly. Bar opened in the evening. Room was clean, remote sealed in a plastic bag, and hand sanitizer throughout the hotel. Currently no valet service but lots of public garages near by.
