The rooms were large, so large I thought there was a mistake on what room we got. The king size bed was comfy and we slept great. The shower...my lord the shower, a walk in rain shower. I'd stay just for that again. One minor complaint is the continental breakfast, not good, but with so many great breakfast places downtown, who cares?
I'm so happy I chose to stay at The Chambers Hotel. I found the location convenient to dining and downtown sight seeing. More importantly, I really appreciated the helpful, friendly staff that made my experience there so great. Choosing this property over one of the large chain hotels ended up being a great decision for me. I really appreciated the attractive, modern design of my room and the entire property. Staying there felt like living in luxury.
I booked this stay to attend the Craft Brewers Conference. The hotel staff were very friendly & helpful. The room was spotless. The bed was comfortable, & I slept like a baby. The only thing I would recommend to improve is having an in-room coffee maker. The shower was an experience in unbelievable luxury. I highly recommend staying here.
The hotel and my room were very comfortable and had all the things I needed. I would have liked the bottled water to be free and the continental breakfast to be healthier (less carbs). The A/C worked great!
Staff said it was a plumbing issue and they were working on getting a plumber but lack of hot water really kind of eliminates the core usefulness of a hotel. They did provide a partial refund but the staff were not proactive about solving things and wasted a lot of my time.
gorgeous and clean room and inviting bathroom; wish I were in town longer to enjoy the accommodations! breakfast was perfect for me--loved the fresh fruit and yogurt; perfect set-up to do work in the room. will definitely come again and stay longer!
We stayed one night but wanted to stay a month! Comfortable and modern with a great location. A boutique feel that encouraged us to experience the city but a place to come "home" to and find peaceful rest! I would recommend to anyone visiting the MPLS downtown scene!
I was expecting an artsy, semi-luxe fun experience at this hotel but felt like i was staying in a highway motel stuck on Hennepin Avenue. The breakfast was so sub-standard and the beds were old and tattered. The sheets (while they say 400 thread count) were barely a 50/50 Sateen blend. The room was cold and uninviting with no views and some old-looking "snack tray" offerings (who does this during a pandemic?). The bright spot in this hotel is really just the hyper-strong rain showers and the fact that the halls are clean.
Super comfy room with luxurious bathroom (deluxe king) that was bright all night due to marquee on Hennepin despite shades being pulled down. In room coffee/espresso was a nice touch as well as the continental breakfast. People always congregating in alley behind hotel were aggressive several times. Hotel desk clerk could not help us find correct parking lot and did not know streets that were 2 blocks away, so we spent an extra $20 on parking and 30 minutes with clerk on phone trying to find their parking lot (he said repeatedly that it was not clearly marked).
Last week myself and my coworkers were on a business trip to Minneapolis staying for several nights (19 "room nights" in total between the 5 of us). My brother passed away losing his battle with cancer so I had to fly back early only staying 2 of my 5 nights. The hotel said they were unable to issue a credit for the other 3 days to my American Express Platinum OTA and they were unable to 'switch' my room with my associate that booked through Marriott reservations to allow them the 3 day credit. Both individuals at the front desk said that their cancellation policy cannot be changed. I understand and appreciate the need for such policies, but I do know that exceptions can be made in such circumstances and I know first hand that this has been the case in other Marriott flagged properties. When my team returns in a few weeks and throughout the year to Minneapolis, we will be staying at another historic hotel in the area which has 4+ stars for simiIar DAR. Also, some of the room layouts are a bit odd with the rear of the shower in front of the room door. Some of the shower heads in some rooms randomly release of spurt of water in the middle of the night.…
