Hotel's Favorite
Pros: -great location in downtown Minneapolis -well-appointed rooms -professional, warm, and knowledgeable front desk staff -great value for rate I booked ($22 parking credit, $25 food & beverage credit, late check out) -very clean; Covid protocols strictly enforced -rapid response time for room service and wine glass delivery -corner room offers great views Cons: -Room service presentation a bit underwhelming given pricing -leather on desk chair a little worn out -five-head shower somewhat confusing to figure out -some city noise even on the 14th floor I stayed here on a Saturday overnight for a pandemic staycation with my boyfriend, which I've done every so often during Covid-19. Despite Covid's drastic changes to hospitality, I was impressed with how the property is committed to both safety and exceptional service. The day before we checked in, I texted with Chloe, a front desk manager, about the guaranteed upgrade my rate included (you'll receive a number to text in your confirmation email). Since this hotel is centrally located and housed in a tall building, I wanted a room on a higher floor. Chloe ensured I would receive an upgrade to an executive room from the superior room I booked, but managed my expectations in noting that an upgrade to an executive corner room would be based on availability at check-in. She also provided me detailed information on how to use the Chromecast-enabled TV in the room when I asked. At check in, she was there and pleasantly greeted us and recalled our texting conversation from the day prior. Musso, who checked me us, was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Our room on the 14th floor was fantastic, from the views to its cleanliness. Since I've stayed here before I was expecting a certain standard of quality and my expectations were certainly met that I had in mind from my last stay. The TV remote was covered in a plastic sleeve, which I would assume is removed between each guest. The room service we ordered was placed in a paper container and all cutlery/condiments were separately packaged as well. Given the price of their room service I was expecting a little more of an elevated presentation, but I understand the necessity to keep things safely prepared as they were. That said, the blueberry buttermilk pancakes I ordered for breakfast were hot, delicious, and best of all, ready in less than 15 minutes! The coffee we ordered also was hot. The beds here are slightly firm, which I prefer, but if you like a less firm mattress, I would suggest staying somewhere else. All in all, given my $121 rate, the high quality service, $25 food and beverage credit, late check out, and the Covid-19 protocol in place that didn't compromise any aspect of my overnight, the Loews is one of the best bets for a guaranteed great stay in the downtown Minneapolis area!

From start to finish, my stay was PERFECT! I am so thankful for such a quality hotel and lounge in such a perfect location! Working with Mark and Matt in the front of house, being greeted by all service personnel along the way with a smile (through their masks nonetheless), and the mandatory old fashioned made by Greg in the Apothecary always makes me feel welcomed and at home when away from home. Lowes is second to none and will always be my stay when coming into downtown Minneapolis for any reason!

Could not have asked for a better stay. Staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The bartender opened another section of the bar for us so we could sit while safely distancing from others. Beds are extremely comfortable and room was well cleaned.

I booked the Grand suite with rain shower and whirlpool bath. It was wonderful! The king bed was nice and fluffy and room service eggs benedict in the morning were delicious. The view was great too - one side of the hotel faces the city skyscrapers and the other side faces the twins stadium and surrounding metro.
