Tremendously disappointed with our overnight last night. My wife and I were attempting to get a brief reprieve from our kids, only to get a room on the 17th floor near a room with two barking dogs. They barked off and on for the entirety of our visit. Pretty consistent from 2pm to 8pm when we left for dinner. After dinner we were told the guests were finally back in their room with the dogs...yet they continued to bark occasionally. I went to bed at 11:15 hearing them bark, and was woken up around 8am to barking. We were offered a free breakfast, and the staff were understanding and pleasant, but our experience was entirely unacceptable. We paid top dollar for our room and a spa package, and left this morning exhausted and frustrated.
Whether you are in Minneapolis for an event at the Target Center or a show, this is the place to stay. Lovely rooms, valet parking, on the skyway and an easy walk to the Theatre district and many restaurants..
My husband and I recently visited the Lowe’s hotel and stayed for the weekend. We have never been so impressed by the staff. They were attentive and entertaining and all around great people! We never had to open a door once to get in or out of the hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet and had a great view of the city. Don’t even get me started on the breakfast buffet! Yes.. you do have to pay for it and it is on the pricey side, but SO worth it! The wait staff at Cosmos were also wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel if you just want to get away with a special person. Romantic and in walking distance of many restaurants and activities.
Good hotel overall and good restaurant too. The soundproofing of the room could be improved to ensure better sleep being noise from the corridor and the outside noise... The service is good and it is a good location to access many restaurants in the area.
All of the staff clearly have been well trained in customer service. Everyone, and I mean everyone makes eye contact and is ready with a hello and have a nice day. On our way out, we got one from a housekeeper while she lifted a tv to dust under it. Amazing staff. One service hiccup, was the restaurant. Black cloud over our experience, started with not being given menus when seated and it just never recovered, other guests were very pleased. Speaking of the restaurant, the furniture and decor are showing their age. Table edges are de-laminating, chair legs showing bare wood. Fantastic food, worn furniture. Prices warrant an update. Eggs on the lobster poached eggs were so runny we wished for extra toast one day, and cooked solid the next. $24 breakfast dish. The glass bowl basin is cute, but you can't wash both hands together under the water. You have to rinse hands one at a time. Lots of stuff like that here. Like the elevator. Lobby to the 4th floor, walk around to the other bank, then up to your room. Need your key here. When your key stops working because they didn't fully process your late checkout request, you need to go back down. Illusion of security, our 12th floor key allowed us up to the penthouse (or any other floor). Huh. The TV experience is lacking. Their Netflix solution is to Chromecast the Netflix from your phone to the TV. Ouch. Hacked solution to fit into outdated hardware. Location is amazing. On the Skywalk. Visiting NBA teams stay here. The Target Center is across the street, as is First Ave. Target Field is a stone's throw. (easy walk) Great stay. Looking forward to updates. We hope to be back often.…
