Location is nice and right next to sport arenas. Gym was about average. Lots of noise with it being downtown with all the construction and loud horns from the commuter train. Very busy area, but has CVS and other stores within walking distance.
Grand King room comes with whirlpool tub, separate shower. Connected to skyway. I felt very safe in the hotel. Shout out to Sarah at the front desk, Greg in the Apothecary lounge and Christian in Cosmos. You made my visit memorable.
Lots of extras that are not included in the price the rooms cost. Staff was excellent. Place was very clean and friendly. Everything after you get the room is extra. Rooms were alright. Little out dated for the price.
Room was nice but there was no microwave and the refrigerator was locked. There were no vending machines on site or snack shop. Difficult to get ice...only on two floors. Have to get on two separate elevators just to get to the room. Have to pay extra $50/night for parking on top of already pricey room for standard king.
My bf and I stayed at this hotel to go to Target center and enjoy the Minneapolis downtown. It was cold outside but the hotel is right across from Target center and it’s connected by Skyway so we didn’t need to walk outside. Restaurants were walkable distance. If you don’t want to drive, bus stops and the trains are close by! The hotel was clean and there was a small tv in the bathroom! The shower pressure was great and got hot water almost right away. My bf and I really enjoyed our stay here and would love to stay here again! Oh about parking, we parked at Mayo Clinic public parking which is located basically underground of the hotel. You can take ab elevator from the parking to ground level and you have an access to the hotel! We parked around 7:40pm on Friday and left the parking around 10:45am on Sunday and it was $46. We didn’t use my car during the stay at all. So basically $23 a day and I think it’s not bad considering the location!!…
We stayed overnight after attending a concert at the Target Center. The easy access to get there was a great benefit. They have valet parking which increased in cost due to the event, but for a business traveler, it would be very convenient to have in/out privileges during a mult-night stay. Otherwise there is a parking ramp nearby with access to the hotel. While getting to the room was a bit complicated because of the separate elevators for guest room access, the room was nice. Don't expect anything for free like some of the mid-class hotels. The refrigerator was locked and I believe it would have cost us $16 to unlock it for the night. I will say that the bed and pillows were the most comfortable I've experienced in a very long time. We booked our room well in advance of the event and I believe the price was quite reasonable and would imagine if it were that way on the average day, it is a great choice for someone looking to be in the downtown area. We would stay here again if ever in the area.…
Awesome hotel, very fancy, I would just suggest some vending and ice machines although I might have missed them if they were there. I'm very happy that there was a skywalk to target center and that prices were very good.
This is a great place to stay for the Target Center. The rooms are very nice and the decor of the hotel is very classy. We'd definitely stay again. Parking is pricey, but downtown is just that way. Nice hotel!
The Loews properties are always amazing. Look to stay if your in the twin city area. Staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. If looking to go out, make sure to pay attention to hospitality fees on your bill at nearby restaurants/bar establishments. Being downtown, restaurants cater towards travelers.
A good stay. Bell staff and Valet were outstanding! Housekeeping was very pleasant as well. When we checked in at 4pm, the front desk agent mumbled under his breath “why does everyone want to check in early all the time” I didn’t know 4pm was checking in early. Regardless, we only had to wait, maybe 5 min at most for our room, and the room was very nice. We had a nice stay.
