The hotel is a lovely building. The front desk staff are very cordial and helpful. The room was large and the bathroom was particularly nice. We did not make use of the athletic facilities but they are quite impressive.

I don't like cookie cutter hotels and the Kimpton is quirky enough to not feel like a chain. The location downtown minneapolis and is connected to the skywalk system. The weather hovered in the single digits while we visited downtown Minneapolis so the Skyway was where we traveled and shopped from. We were able to walk from the Kimpton to...

Hi John M, The Grand is not cookie cutter... we are full of rich history with many different room configurations. Glad you enjoyed the easy access to skyway to avoid the cold! Target Center & US Bank Stadium are very walk-able from the hotel. Looking forward to welcoming you back again soon. Take care, Mike

It's my first time in Minneapolis since 1994, so a fair bit had changed. As a business traveller I get bored with formulaic hotels so if there's a Kimpton in town I'll generally go for that if I can! You can always rely on sufficient quirkiness to make each hotel feel unique and this hotel I think reasonably recently came...

I was in a pinch on a Saturday night and needed a hotel room. Called the Grand at 9PM and was put through to a national reservation agent. Who knew that the person that answers the front desk phone at a hotel doesn't make a reservation for you? The guy got me a room with a queen bed at a...

Hi J D, Glad the team was able to help you get out of a pinch last weekend. The Grand does offer valet services with unlimited in/out privileges with quick retrieval times. Our bellhops are always on the run and thrilled to connect with our guests. I would recommend this on your next adventure. Take care, Mike

I am always impressed with the Kimtpon Hotels and the Grand Hotel was no exception. It is beautifully decorated in an understated elegant way. The rooms are clean and a decent size, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. I had lunch at the lobby bar and the food and service were excellent. The barman was attentive without...

Older hotel, historic feeling but didn't feel musty or rotting. Room was small, especially a one-bed for four people (two on the floor), but perfectly manageable. Nice bathroom, comfy bed. Small but very nice lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful when check-in was slightly different from what they had me booked for. Excellent reception in the evening. Plenty of parking...

Hello Sean T, Thanks for sharing your experience at The Grand. We do have many room types that would prevent sleeping on the floor as well as rollaway beds we are happy to deliver and sleeper sofas too. On your next adventure, I recommend connecting with our fabulous front desk folks on your accommodations. Take care, Mike

We stayed at this hotel for my husband's birthday to be downtown, meet friends for dinner and get away a bit. From just a brief note about my husband's birthday on our reservation, the staff went above and beyond to make it a special stay. From spiced cider at check-in, to a spacious & comfortable room, to cake and water...

We have stayed here every time we have been to Minneapolis! Great location and great service! It is conveniently located near shopping and dining! The last time we were there is was cold out, the enclosed walkway is right off the lobby, so we never had to go outside to get anywhere!

I've stayed in a lot of hotels in the Minneapolis area, but my recent stay at the Grand Hotel was far and away the best. Not only is the hotel gorgeous--big, comfortable beds, beautiful decor, spacious rooms--and in a prime location downtown, but it is the staff that sets this hotel apart. My fiancee and I were treated with such...
