After reading reviews on NII we decided to stay the night as part of our "date weekend". Making the reservation was difficult. After I made the reservation and paid for it the receptionist couldn't find it. He said to call back in a few days and that maybe it would have crossed into their system by then so I did... More

The overall experience was wonderful. Such a charming restaurant great for a romantic/special dinner. The only comment I would make is the staff never offered us coffee with dessert of after dinner drinks. The price for the Lobster Fest (dinner for 2) was appropriate. We will return again in the future.

My husband surprised me with a stay here during their lobster week special. The rooms are very pretty, wallpapered, nice linens and pretty antiques. The room came with two robes. The hotel was very charming and nicely decorated. It is definitely romantic like a B&B but provides more privacy! The restaurant provided a nice view of the river and the... More

This was our second trip to the Inn. Our first encounter was for dinner only. We loved the ambiance, service and, of course , the food. We "discovered" the very talented piano lady, but was abit dismayed at the 10:30 closing. Our last visit was for our sixth anniversary. We stayed one night at the Inn, had a delicious dinner,... Rated 15 of 46 seems absurd and bizarre. We've stayed here a half dozen times over the past 20-30 and the 24 rooms in the island in the Mississippi are phenomenal. The bar and restaurant alone are tops in the Cities. TJF brunch is a main stay in the Twin Cities. The staff is superb, crack crew. The amenities and... More

Our company had the Christmas party here, and that was a good choice. Nice place away from downtown, very relaxing. Nice service, good food (we're served the seasonal salad, roasted chicken, truffled mashed potatoes. Even the rolls were fresh and tasty.), free parking. What else can we ask for after a day at the office?

We recently spent the night at the Nicollet Island Inn to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was exceptional. Our room was quiet, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Despite being close to the downtown area of Minneapolis, being on the small island, it seems far removed from the maddening roar of the "city". It's romantic, to be completely honest. We had planned... More

My husband surprised me for a weekend getaway and brought me here. We had a wonderful room overlooking Nicollet Island. The room was beautifully decorated. It had high ceilings and the bed was quite comfortable. To say that the Sunday brunch is delicious is a complete understatement. It was uber delicious!! Our server was excellent and the menu choices for... More

Beautiful old hotel! It is a 'step back in time' when you walk though the door. You lose the fact that you are in the middle of a city. Very relaxing. The entire staff is wonderful... front desk, restaurant, bar. Excellent food and good drinks.

The hotel has a quaintness that we found charming. The dining experience and our meals were wonderful. The staff in the dining room, bar and front desk were personable and very attentive. We would highly recommend this hotel!
