I have had an absolutely wonderful stay here. It's a beautiful home with lovely features and convenient to the university and where I needed to be for work. My room was quiet and comfortable. Great restaurants close by...couldn't be happier with my experience here

I stayed at The Wales House while visiting my son who is a student at the U. It's on a perfect location, my room was wonderful (cozy, spotless, large), the rest of the house is beautiful and the owners are amazingly warm and attentive. I will still here again most definitely.

I would like to thank Kelly and Julie Carver from Wales House for their kindness and patience during our stay in Minneapolis. We arrived on a Sunday, at a really early time, and our child was sick. They immediately allowed us to rest, and later helped us find a clinic where my son could be taken care of. We always received quick and attentive responses to our special requests. Since it’s more of a research and study environment, it was quite evident Wales House doesn’t usually receive families with children –however, the Carvers did their best to make us feel at home at all times. I would only add that our room at Wales House did not have any coffee or tea maker –we had to go down to the kitchen if we wanted to get some. I would also advice disabled guests or people with walking

One of my most favorite stories as a child, and indeed that endures to today, is of the March family in Little Women by L M Alcott. I've read it many times and seen various screen treatments and often desired to be one of the March daughters - just to taste a smidgen of what life was like in those days. This Christmas, I got a delightful smidgen when our family stayed at The Wales House inMinneapolis. http://www.waleshouse.com. This large, former sorority/fraternity house-turned bed and breakfast is the essence of comfort and familial conviviality. Yet it's large enough for some solitude and peace if that's your desire, with sun porches and quiet nooks waiting for your attention. Deep carpets, clean rooms, fresh warm linens, simple but adequate DIY breakfast provisions

We stayed for 9 nights during the holiday season. There were only a few days when the outside temperatures were above 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Despite that, we easily got around using the bus and light rail system, and walking. Our destinations included St. Anthony Main, The Minnesota History Center in St. Paul, The Minneapolis Institute for Arts, The Mill City Museum, The Museum of Russian Art, The Weisman Art Museum, The Bell Museum of Natural History, and half a dozen first-rate and inspiring restaurants. Had we more time, we would have found it easy to get to live theater and musical performances as well. Wales House is clean, warm, quiet, and inviting. The owners are incredibly helpful in giving advice about places to visit, and how to get there. The breakfasts were
