Liked the hotel. Most everyone was friendly. The Manager was extremely helpful & kind. Loved the kitchenettes & all that came with it. It worked out great for our pre-funk before the football game. When we arrived, we had driven quit a long ways that day (originally from Oregon) to get to Minneapolis. We arrived in the afternoon. When we...

Hi Wendy M, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. I love hearing that you enjoyed the University Inn's features, like the in-room Kitchenette! It sounds like you worked with the Assistant General Manager Nadiya during your time with us. She is a great representation of the University Inn, and works hard to make each guest...

This was my third time staying here and I'm sure it's not my last because it's close to relatives in Minneapolis. It is very conveniently located close to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and just a few minutes off hwy 35W. This hotel is a very good value for the money. The nightly rate when we stayed in July 2016...

Hi 59travelmom, Thank you for choosing the University Inn as your home-base for your last three visits to Minneapolis! I love hearing about all of your favorite features of the hotel. Thank you for providing us with such informative feedback, and for recommending us as a "clean, comfortable, affordable place to stay." There really is no greater compliment. We can't...

This hotel was awesome. It is right in the middle of a college town, so if you're travelling for that, it's great. It's only 5 minutes drive from downtown or a short VERY convenient bus ride away, that the staff can tell you all about. I had booked a 1 bed room, and on arrival was put in a 2...

Paul J, Thank you so much for the 5-star review! I am so pleased that you enjoyed so many different elements of your recent stay. One of our best features is our proximity to both the University of Minnesota campus as well as the Downtown area, so I am happy that you enjoyed our location. I am also glad that...

My daughter and I came to visit the U of MN and chose this hotel because it was on campus. The room was clean, compact and to my surprise, had no closet. We weren't as close to campus as I had thought, but the parking lot was big and super convenient.

Hi boursinmac, I am glad to hear that you were able to stay close to campus for your daughters recent U of M College visit! However, I do apologize that the layout of your room was not satisfactory. It sounds like you stayed in our one room type that lacks closet space. Due to the layout of the building, this...

Stayed here for 2 days after a conference at the University of Minnesota - the location to the university and downtown were great and within walking distance. The room was wonderful - clean and simple. The coffee in the lobby was amazing and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Will stay there again in the future!

Pros: * Staff are excellent. They remember you by name and are accommodating. I shortened my reservation by 1 day once there and they happily helped me with it. * Rooms are fairly quiet and have the kitchenette. * Free parking Cons: * Cleanliness is varied. There was some mysterious sticky stuff on the bottoms of the tables and chairs...

This place reminds me of university hostel, but better. Room is not luxurious but clean and comfortable. It even has a kitchenette which is good for travellers who do not need to eat out all the time, and prefer to cook a simple meal. It is near university student village, which has good amenities like cafes, restaurants and grocery store....

Jonathan H, I am so glad to hear that the University Inn brought back fond memories! Loved the location of this hotel - it was near downtown and the U of M, had very convenient interstate access and was in a nice little neighborhood. Check in and out was easy. Parking was convenient. Hi RenaeBo, I loved hearing about your experience at the University Inn! Many of our guests inquire if we were re-modeled from a University Dorm, similar to your inquiry above. Surprisingly enough, the University Inn was actually built as a hotel! The full kitchenette and layout is not typical for a hotel room - so we completely understand where that...
