Parents weekend didn't disappoint with the courteous and professional team at Emery leading the way. Smooth check-in, great restaurant, and coffee shop. The entire family enjoyed the vibe and convenience of this terrific hotel. So close to everything!
We absolutely loved our stay in July 2022 at this hotel. Very clean, modern and beautiful. The bar on the lobby is totally worth it! It has no self parking, but there is public garage very close to one of the entrances. Lobby staff was very efficient to take care of a minor issue . Downside is the breakfast, I don’t recommend “the included rate breakfast”, as what you’ll get is a beverage and a pastry from downstairs bakery shop. Everything else: Amazing!!! I can’t wait to return.
We had our wedding block here and had over 100 people stay at this hotel. The service was amazing, the food and drinks were fantastic and the location was great. Everyone that stayed there gave it a five star review. Dale and his team run a great show over there. Would recommend for everyone!!!!
This was my second time staying at marriott autograph property and it was a 4-star experience overall. Upon arrival, the front desk team's greeting was top notch. I was a bit disappointed at the lack of effort that the staff checking me showed to try to accommodate for a Platinum Elite member upgrade. Room: I really like their contemporary architecture design and layout. I think they could have done a better job with cabinet space as it was *way too* small. The standard king bed study room is pretty small, too. Bathroom: Compared to the room, their bathroom was both nicely designed and relatively spacious in comparison to the guest room. Parking: I did their offsite parking and the MSP skyway made it pretty easy to get in and out of the garage and back to the hotel. Unfortunately on the weekends, skywalk is closed and you have to use the outdoor main entrance of the building of the parking garage. Other than that, I liked their parking system overall. Recycling: This was another disappointment. A hotel of this size should be more environmentally conscious and provide recycling service. Overall: Emery is a nice property if you want to stay in downtown MSP and want the option to be carless or have a car with you. …
Luxury hotel that’s part of the Autograph Collection. Stayed here with a couple of other friends for a wedding and it was a good location as it’s in downtown Minneapolis. We got free breakfast vouchers (available for Platinum Marriott members) that are redeemable from the coffee shop in the lobby (choice of two drinks, two pastries, yogurt, and fruit). The front desk was helpful in sending us hot water when requested. There is a gym with cardio machines and free weights. They have a lot of places where you can lounge. Valet parking available. They have ironing boards available.
I stayed here one night for a short-notice trip, so I checked in late. It has a chic, cool vibe. Hallways are dark and quiet. The lobby has a large area to meet folks and hangout. Again, a little on the dark side. This hotel was originally a bank and they have kept some of those architectural details int he lobby area including the Art-De style elevator and a vault door near the coffee shop. Check-in was smooth. It took me an extra trip around the block to get to the car entrance. My room was on the 10th floor was quiet. I appreciated being able to make the room pitch black. Outlets with USB slots were next to the bed and on the adjacent couch. The bed was firm, pillows excellent. The bathroom was spacious and I like how they have large bottles of shampoo, conditions and soap in the shower. I dislike the waste of the small plastic bottles. Valet parking was $48, self-park was around $20. The complimenarty breakfast for Platinum Rewards member was in the lobby coffee shop. I grabbed a smallish, but tasty breakfast burrito with a lot of bacon. I don't drink coffee or tea. They didn't have any soda, but I was directed to the front desk and was given one. The only not I would pick is minor, The bathroom light switch was behind the large handicap accessible door so I needed to shut the door before being able to turn on the light. I've stayed at many Marriott properties in Minneapolis and the area. This is a solid choice.…
Stunningly elegant hotel with lots of marble in the heart of downtown Minneapolis- wonderful & inviting open areas to loiter in with comfortable ambiance- great open bar area- apparently building was previously a bank - very cool!
I visited with a friend in Minneapolis and we decided to stay here on a Friday night as a kind of get away. The staff was delightful the whole time. It is located within easy walking distance of most any location downtown you'd want to go. The coffee house was fabulous and after it closed was a great place to hang out. We did not eat at the restaurant, but we did stop for drinks at the bar and, even though they seemed understaffed (isn't everyone?) they were prompt and polite. The room was exactly what we were looking for, albeit the shower door will need replacing soon. If the price doesn't shock you, I think you will generally be pleased.
It was my first time staying at the Emery. It came up on a search in Hotwire. It is a beautiful property, friendly receptionists and restaurant staff. The Spyhouse coffee shop was a different experience. The staff seemed pretentious and ran out of daily specials. There is no room service, so ordered from DoorDash for what ever I needed when I wasn’t with friends. I am actually staying there again in June, now knowing what to expect and make concessions when needed. Overall, I would recommend it as a wonderful place to stay.
My girlfriend and I were going to a conference and we wanted to plan our budget to be better prepared, so we called the hotel to find out about the deposit. We were advised that the deposit is $75. We took this info into account and planned our budget. The day before check in, I received an email offering to check in online in advance. I did so and received a confirmation that my check in was successful and I'll receive a text or email (I elected text) when my room is ready and with instructions on when and how to pick up the room key. On the day of arrival, I didn't receive any text so I had to go to the front desk. A blonde lady at the front desk checked us in and requested a payment for deposit. She never mentioned the amount, but we were tired after the flight, so it didn't even occurred to us to ask. We gave her the card, she charged it without saying a word to us or giving us a receipt or anything. But we thought it was $75 so we weren't too worried. However, later on that evening, when we were out in the city we noticed that we have a few hundred dollars less in our account than we were supposed to and that's when we found out that we were charged $225 deposit which is actually 3 times more than what we were advised on the phone just a day prior to our arrival. I'm sure the hotel management can find the recording to verify our words. On top of that, why the front desk didn't verify the amount before charging my card?? Since when a merchant doesn't need customer's authorization for the needed amount before charging? Is that even legal? First we got incorrect deposit amount that ended up being being PER NIGHT that no one bothered to mention on the phone when we first called and by the way that affected our budget, thank you!! Secondly, the front desk didn't confirm the amount with us at all before or after charging our card, and this also can be confirmed by the hotels security camera. Thirdly, their online check in is a joke, I wasted my time for nothing and had to go and check in at the front desk in person. Finally, when I was in the room and wanted to get wi fi, the connect button wasn't working properly and it took me clicking it like 20 times before it finally connected. I'm extremely disappointed in the hotel especially considering its Marriott. I can't believe that Marriott doesn't train their staff to be transparent with customers. They're actions are unprofessional and no nobody cared. I will never stay here again and I will make sure to post this review on Expedia, Google, and social media, and of course tell my friends and family about the hotel's shady practices so they stay somewhere else if ever in Minneapolis. Emery Autograph by Marriott should be ashamed of themselves.…
