Absolutely loved our stay at the Hewing. We stayed for just one night, but the place was fantastic. Very warm and cozy feeling. The shower was amazing and the bed was extremely comfortable. Felt very MN and we really enjoyed the lobby space too!

We loved our stay at the Hewing. The staff was amazing, and incredibly accommodating. We both felt very safe with their social distancing guidelines. Pet friendly. Our dog was treated like royalty. Can’t wait to stay again!

Disappointing. Beautiful interior and helpful guest services, but super soft bed that we sank into resulting in sore backs. Room also smelled awful - kind of musty. Loud road noise as well. Couldn't get into spa. Don't plan to return.

We stayed at the hotel the night if our wedding. We had really been looking forward to the restaurant and the sauna; both of which were closed due The circumstances. However, we were able to make a reservation for the rooftop spa pool with an amazing view of the skyline. The rooms were super clean and cozy, and the bed/pillows were very comfortable. We definitely plan to come back when everything is open!

The hewing is a nice mod designed hotel constructed within a former manufacturing building in the very nice northern loop part of Minneapolis. Our room was a premium priced suite. It was a bit disappointing given its cost was more in line with Manhattan room prices of a similarly sized room. Given the pandemic and expected response, help was scarce though calls were answered and issues addressed. There is no food service in the hotel during the pandemic. Bedding quality was high. Room furnishings, at least in the suites was in good taste and quality seemed equally high. I would recommend the hotel for visitors to the area but avoid the roof top bar during the pandemic. Its very overcrowded with many non mask compliant visitors. We looked and left down the stairs as the hallway was full of masked and unmasked guests. Its an accident waiting to happen. I am sure when the pandemic ends it will be a wonderful place to hang out.

j p, Thank you for your recent review of the Hewing hotel. I am glad to hear you enjoyed the overall decor of the hotel and that the furnishings, bedding and quality lived up to your expectations. I do apologize that you felt uncomfortable up on the rooftop when you came up. We do require masks to enter the hotel and will refuse service for anyone that is not complaint with the Minnesota mask mandate. I was working the host stand that evening and there was group that came up that I had to address regarding our mask policy around the time of your reservation. I am wondering if that was coincidentally the same time that you got off the elevator. Anyways, I truly apologize that this took away from your overall experience with us at the Hewing as we take our guest and associate safety as our utmost priority here at the Hewing during these unprecedented times. I wish you all the best and hope to see you again in the near future. In the Spirit of Hospitality, Kylee
