I stayed in the hotel in July. Service in general was average. They gave us the worst rooms under the swimming pool. No view. You could hear the pool’s pumps and other noises. They gave us another room the next day. But this is not the reason I am rating it one star. I would rate it “no stars” if I could. On the last evening I got very very sick. I got scary symptoms and the whole situation was pretty bad. We begged the receptionist to call for an ambulance but he REFUSED several times. All my friends gathered together asking him but they kept asking if I was on drugs. I wasn’t. But once again - not the point. Not anyone can refuse medical help under any circumstances! It was already 3am and after many calls to Reception and 112 I was refused medical help. They called for a taxi that took me to some ER. We got back to the hotel at 7am and asked for late check out which we would pay, of course. It was REFUSED once again because they said they were full which was a lie because they had available rooms on their website and on other online reservation platforms. But even if that was so, their reaction and behaviour towards this serious situation was absolutely inhumane and disgusting.…
This is a beautiful hotel. The design is fabulous and there are loads of instagram worthy photos to be taken. The food and service were exceptional. The music that plays is very euro cool and the vibe is mellow and relaxing. This hotel is one of four or five in the chain and you have access to eat and shop at the other hotels further down the cliff. Access to beach is close and hotel offers sun beds and drink service in their beach area. One big downside.....the pool was freezing (like an ice bucket). Was super disappointing as it was too cold to lounge in. It's such a beautiful pool that sat empty the entire week I was there. While this place was lovely and relaxing, it was a 25 minute drive to town and we really did enjoy going into town often. I think next time I'd stay closer to town.…
Stayed here with my wife in September for my 50th and found the hotel faultless. The entire hotel was very modern, funky décor and spotlessly clean The staff in each and every area were fantastic. Big shout out to the poolside bar staff (ladies) they were brilliant and very engaging. It its super chilled and relaxing, a nice contrast to the town centre which is a hive of activity. The shuttle buses to and from town were fantastic and regular giving more than enough time to explore the city without feeling pressured. Only wish they had space to accommodate us again next year. They are fully booked which tells you something. Love this place .. if you get in don't hesitate
Top class hotel. The service at this hotel is amazing, the staff go above and beyond. The rooms and hotel grounds are all absolutely stunning and the views from the hotel are incredible. I used the spa facilities and had an amazing massage. The food & drink is all great, we stayed on a b&b basis and ate regularly at the hotel. The lunch menu around the pool was great. We’d definitely return again some day & would recommend this hotel to all!
I've travelled to some of the very best spots in the world and this is up there with the best hotels I have stayed in, the property was absolutely immaculate, the staff were super freindly, attentive and there whenever you needed them - the manager Kostas is operating a absolutely top class facility and is faultlessly run! This is the best hotel/resort on the island by far.........
Its been years since my husband and I have been away without the kids and after a long day of travel delays and missed flights we were eager to get to the hotel and unwind. Upon arriving to the area we drove up a winding road and pulled up to a gently lit resort with a warm welcome from Costas the Concierge and front desk staff . The vibe of the Hotel is Effortlessly Raw , Organic , and Sexy. Frankly we were in awe . The walk to our Oceanview room (760) was filled with white curved walls and charcoal square tiles as our path . Simple but beautifully appointed floor vases huggeg the corners and breaks in the walls opened your view to the ocean. The sun just happened to be setting so you can imagine how dreamy it was . The hotel promptly changed our reservation for the onsite restaurant Pavilion because we were already running behind and starving. Once we were seated we received the warmest greeting by our server a young woman named Klea. Klea was a ray of sunshine , she was incredibly sweet, accommodating , knowledgeable ,just couldn't do enough for us and continued to give us impeccable service throughout our entire stay . In addition Ava , Effy, Angel , Michael , Achilleas, Nicole , they were all so helpful and kind .. we really looked forward to seeing them everyday . Costas the Concierge is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, resourceful and witty ! He gave us great recommendations and even set up a speed boat to take us to see our favorite at Scorpios . It was very apparent his #1 priority was to make sure the guests fully enjoyed their stay . Katerina so sweet and Yannis helped us many times to arrange transfers , cancel or rearrange reservations always with a smile . Gregory and Alexandria so kind and helpful as well . The food at the Pavilion and Poolside were excellent. The Truffle Risotto was out of this world, the Beetroot Patties were awesome, Greek salad so delicious I ate everyday. The Breakfast spread had such a wide range but my favorite was the fresh Greek Yogurt station with so many fresh toppings and nuts. The Chicken pies were incredible. The music was ALWAYS on point at the Hotel. I actually made my own playlist based off of the songs they played. I know Mykonos is already Heaven on Earth lol but where you stay only enhances that and honestly we only want to stay at Utopia.…
Staff on reception are rude and dismissive & arrogant. I ordered a taxi one evening, was told it will be 20mins & 40mins later its not arrived, I was told 10 more mins and i said cancel it. The reception staff said I have to pay the taxi of EUR 35 even being 50 minutes late - but we refused, the staff were arguing we had too - no consideration for the client. I asked one reception if we can hire the speed boat / a exclusive boat for the day and was told to come back later to talk about it. Mini bar is electronic, move an item and you are charged, i moved our water into the fridge every day and it was a few days before i realised i was being charged. We forgot to mention it when we checked out with final bill but went back to reception to mention it & was told " we should have checked our bill correctly - we do not offer refunds " - the mini bar holds maybe 5 items, our first night we was billed for 4 items, 2nd night 7 items- we said - how can we be charged for more items then are in the mini bar !!. We was given a lunch voucher for E70. Gym is so small. Food - nothing special. I asked to have the halloumi sandwich in a brioche bun & was told I cant- being a veggie, asking for pasta, garlic, chillies, was beyond the chef's team, menu only. Spa is nothing special. Despite booking half board, 7 nights in the Grand Retreat for £ 11k & £ 3k in the hotel across 7 nights, The Villas Bhhia Del Duque in Teneriffe are more classy & quality. Mike the waiter & Dora the Cleaner fantastic…
Utopia is the perfect name for this amazing resort. Beyond its gorgeous design, architecture, and decorations, the best feature is its staff. Led by the super attentive and courteous Costas, the level of service is second to none and we truly felt like family. We must give a very special mention to Deshaun for his magnificent service and attention to detail as well as his marvelous and addictive positive attitude towards life. He made us smile daily and made sure we felt like royalty. We must also mention Clea who took care of us as well and was always looking forward to seeing us and making sure we were having the best time possible. We must also give thanks to all the other staff in the hotel who made our stay so wonderful. It can't be said enough that the service and attention in Utopia are truly at another level. The views from the pool terrace and balcony are breathtaking. The morning buffet was delicious with fresh local food. Dinners were spectacular with special mention of the Greek Dips, especially the spicy Feta Dip, the succulent Sea Bass, and delicious Lamb. We also enjoyed being able to go to the other restaurants around the Myconian Resort with the complimentary shuttle. Our room was spectacular! It was gorgeously decorated, super comfortable, and so romantic. We loved the private pool with a view. Utopia is truly a very special place and we can’t wait to get back. Without a doubt, this will be our first choice when we return to Mykonos. Franco & Karla. …
Just coming to the end of our four night stay here, overall have really enjoyed it. A beautiful property, stunning views and just a nice relaxing break. Breakfast tasty and plentiful, can’t say the hot options did much for me on the buffet but you could order omelettes (although they don’t make that known with a menu). Service was good, but on some days it was a bit lacklustre. Staff don’t seem to work in sections so it gets a bit haphazard. Had to wait about 30 minutes for a latte, eventually having to ask the GM (who we have to say was brilliant and always visual). Room, beautiful and clean. Would have enjoyed some sun beds on the terrace as not always easy to bag one by the pool and we aren’t big beach fans. Shuttle service is offered to Mykonos town, which otherwise would cost up to €50 each way. Great to have this, but a bit of a fight to get back on the bus at the other end! Personally found the hotel a little too far out for us. Pool - nice and scenic. Music ridiculously loud though and I’m sure most guests would rather it be lower or off! I had my headphones on max and I could still hear the awful background music above my own!! Seriously, people are here to relax!! One final negative was the welcome card in the room on arrival, addressed to “mr and mrs” when we are actually “mr and mr”. It’s a shame that the hotel couldn’t check the booking correctly and even if they couldn’t, in the 21st century it’s wrong to assume every couple is “mr and Mrs”. It may sound petty, but it’s not what you expect at a 5 star.…
My longtime best friend surprised me with a birthday trip to Mykonos and booked this wonderful Hotel for us. I couldn’t have imagined a better place to spend a relaxing quality time!!! The Staff was so lovely and always came along with wonderful recommendations. (Thanks again to the waiter who surprised me with that wonderful Gin Cocktail, somehow he sensed that it would make me feel like in paradise ;-) ) We just enjoyed how attentive everyone was! It was always balanced, never too much and definitely authentic so that we felt warmly welcome! Everything whether food or drinks was so delicious that I unfortunately need to hit the gym more disciplined now :-p No regrets, it was unforgettable! Can’t wait to come back!!! Best wishes to the whole crew, you do a great job! Nora…
