We search on line and the room descriptions fit the rooms well. We were met by the innkeeper and owner he took the time to explain the area, options for dinner, ( really only two ) and breakfast. It is clean, quite and walk to the trail, dam and options to eat. It is street parking and plenty of it , we were there on a Tuesday and the town rolls up at 9 except for trivia night at one bar. The inn is a great spot we plan on going back, Oh, breakfast go next door, no menu order what you like other then pancakes. Its a trip
Found this place on a search and booked online. It has been decorated beautifully. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Beautiful arched windows overlooking downtown Lanesboro. You need to be able to climb stairs but it is well worth it. The owner is very nice and accommodating
We stayed three days last weekend and couldn't be more impressed with this inn. Such an old time feeling with a modern twist. Great care has been taken when they remodeled the building. The owners are truly one of a kind and will completely go out of their way to make your stay top notch. Just can't say enough good about this place. About as close to the bike trail as you can get. Very quiet rooms also!
We love the ambiance, Pat was the most incredible host. We are planning the next stay, we love the room. Lanesboro is a lovely hamlet, Pat has many ideas and what to see and do. He loves it as much as we do.
We loved the Iron Horse! Rooms were decorated with high end features (no doilies!) and the space was comfortable. We were able to have full access to the gathering space which was nice and equipped with a coffee maker. We recommend to anyone who can handle stairs, as all rooms were on the 2nd story and it is a historic building. Also, if you are someone looking for a closet this place didn't have one, but that wasn't a big deal for us. The owner, Pat, was friendly and so was Trish who spent a lot of time there with and without Pat. They helped us navigate the bike trails, local food options and even found us a place with amazng food to go to on Easter since most of Lanesboro was closed for all or most of the day. If you can get a room here, reserve it!
