Nice owner and courtyard for summer visits, but room was noisy and very plain. Heater, bathroom venting and thin walls made it extremely noisy! I like a little more from a hotel, but ok for price. Would like a little bigger bathroom. Definitely get a balcony room

Each year we hold a biking trip in Lanesboro, and stay at Green Gables. It's perfect for a group, with a nice central patio. Jackie is always very helpful with information and plenty of coffee! The Inn is at the edge of town, quiet and convenient to main roads, yet within walking distance to the town center. And of course,... More

I went with 3 friends from H.S. We had adjoining rooms. Wonderful view, Clean, Spacious rooms. Owner is extremely friendly and helpful. We had a perfect time. My friends all loved the accommodations and we are already talking about taking a return trip and staying there again. The Inn is within walking distance to town but also off the beaten... More

The rooms are large and clean. You can bring your own coffee maker and that's very convenient. She has muffins in the morning. As far as cost in Lanesboro, this is a great place to stay. Plus the owner is just extremely nice! We will return.

Definitely request a second floor (top floor) room, it was like the people above us were constantly getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom, or in circles. It appeared that all guests were older adults. Really strange, but very annoying and noisy during the evening, and early in the morning. First thought was economical floor/ceiling construction with no... More

Our group of 28 bicyclists stays here every year for two nights. The service is very good, the rooms are clean, and we had a great patio area for gathering as a group. Some rooms have refrigerators and/or patios. Coffee and muffins in the morning is included. Jackie, the owner, was easy to work with!

The room we had was nice and comfortable for the two of us but there is no sound-proofing in the walls or ceilings so we could hear every conversation next to us and every footstep above us. We turned in the window A/C-Heading unit to make white noise. It drown out all our neighbors because it was pretty loud. The... More

We stayed two nights this past weekend 10/18 - 10/19. The room was nice and clean and the beds were not too bad but a little hard for my liking. There was really not any wonderful view of anything out our window except a couple trees and a trailer camp on the other side of a football field. We have... More

The rooms are clean, the mattresses are firm, and the owner is helpful. Green Gables is a good deal in a town packed with over-priced bed & breakfast spots. The bike trail is just a few blocks away, the grounds are immaculate, lush & green. The only negative was the bath tub drain, which was clogged. The owner apologized and... More

I booked the Anniversary Suite for our little getaway to Lanesboro, and it really was delightful. The room is quite large and one of the most immaculately kept rooms I have ever stayed in. The whirlpool hottub was a real treat after a long day hiking and biking. The kitchen was just about the perfect size and included a coffee... More
