Stayed at Mrs. B’s for a short anniversary get away. Checked in on a Saturday and stayed till Monday. Was very charming and clean! Loved all the nice homey touches that were scattered throughout the place! We had a great time and enjoyed our stay!
We were two couples who stayed at Mrs B's during the week. It was very, very quiet in the innn. We saw a few other guests occasionally, coming and going. The place is remarkably clean. The decor is attractive if you like quaint old stuff. Our only concern was that it was pretty muggy out during our stay, and the inn's A/C was challenged by the heat and humidity - but did keep the place adequately cool. A small air cleaner/fan is provided in the room, and that saved the day - make that the night.
It has nice breakfast but only on weekend. Has view of river but not from room. It was a nice stay. Lanesboro a nice town to visit. Clean..historic. River was high unable to use river. Check in required before 6 on Thurs. Nice place.
We were there mid-October on a Sunday night and we were the only guests in the Inn that night. We had a private breakfast in the dinner room the following morning which felt a little odd. The owner's son served the food and was very sociable. The room was quaint and very clean - of course, no TV. Had a nice dinner at the old Village Hall on Sunday night; but the town was really pretty shut down. Very nice spot, but a little pricey. A few restaurants and the theater are about all that is in town, except, of course, for the bike trails and the Root River!
Loved our time in Lanesboro. Staying at Mrs. B's was a highlight of this trip. We stayed in the garden room, it was bright with windows, high ceilings and view of Root river. Great location for bike trails, restaurants, etc.... Breakfast was really good and the hospitality of Ben, Mary and Trish. I recommended it to friends who are going there is Sept.
