Great place to stay. Major attractions are within walking distance of Mrs. B’s. Very clean and well cared for. Extra precautions are taken to assure COVID is not spread. We had a fireplace in the room, although did not use it. We will definitely return.
We stayed in Room 7 on the first floor, overlooking the Root River. The accomodations were comfortable, clean, up-to-date amenities and a great deep bathtub for soaking! Trish the host was welcoming and helpful. Right now, because of the pandemic, they are not serving breakfast, but the price of lodging reflects that. The inn is taking necessary precautions for cleaning and distancing but is still very hospitable. This is one of the oldest inns in this charming bike/art/culture small town.
Staying at a B&B or hotel during COVID changes a guests expectations. As a guest we are willing to accept changes in food offerings...no longer is any food offered at any time of day or any maid service during your stay. That's ok, we were told ahead of time there would be no breakfast and understood that. But keeping the place sanitary and paying attention to CDC guidelines is quite another. As far as we could see, the only attempt to make the space safer was a small pump bottle of hand sanitizer on a table in the lobby. Never once did we see any of the chairs, tables, refrigerator in the lobby, front door, stair railings, etc. wiped down or sanitized. Not that the place appeared dirty, there just is no attempt at even making the guest feel that the place is "clean". That said, the Inn itself is very tired and it seems very little is being done to spruce it up. Even the planters in front of the inn were empty except for a couple small flags stuck in the dirt. A poor value at $160/night. We do not recommend this property.…
It was Halloween and we decided to celebrate our Anniversary early. We stayed at Mrs. B's one night, we had dinner and went to a play. We were greeted at the front door by the owner (I think her name was Trish), and she couldn't have been nicer. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. We appreciated that she let us stay there, even though it was the off-season and we were the only guests. I'm sure if it hadn't been a week night and Halloween, there would have been more people. We liked that she had coffee on demand and that we were able to use the refrigerator in the lobby. I highly recommend Mrs. B's if you plan to stay in Lanesboro!
Stayed at Mrs. B’s for a short anniversary get away. Checked in on a Saturday and stayed till Monday. Was very charming and clean! Loved all the nice homey touches that were scattered throughout the place! We had a great time and enjoyed our stay!
