We booked to stay for 2 weeks mid-July. We arrived with nothing as Ethiad hadn't managed to get our cases on the connecting flight in time. Upon check in at reception we weren't offered any additional help because of this, no toiletries, or suncream, mosquito repellent etc was offered, despite also having our young child with us. We were told... More

The resort itself is beautiful and in keeping with the natural beauty around it. The sea is calm and the waters, clear. You can see a lot of stunning fish swimming around even in shallow waters. The luxury of the resort is easy to get used to. Expensive, but then, that's the price you pay for natural beauty at its... More

We visited the Maldives early July 2016 for the fourth time to the wonderful island of embudu. In our opinion the best island yet. The island has a wonderful house reef that seemed to stretch for miles. We are keen free divers and spent hours daily exploring a superb coral garden, oodles of fish, turtles, eagle and sting ray. The... More

This was by the far best snorkeling experience with have had in the Maldives and I have stayed at 2 other resorts. We saw lion fish, sharks, octopus, morrays and 100's of different types of fish. The reef is so close to shore so you dont have to go far to see amazing things. The resort was 3 star and... More

Lovely, small island, with very nice staff. Lots of variety food. Beautiful sea, not crowded enywhere. Realy nice sealife. 99% of quests are German. Room is not luxury, but clean. One day was rainy, but still lovely sea. Wifi only at main reception. Silent place.

One of the original resorts, nicely refurbished to a good standard, being only an hour transfer by boat it is perfect for a short break for locals or expats working in Male'. Very cosmopolitan occupancy during our stay, predominantly German and other Europeans, which the food choice suits very well. For those wanting local cuisine or regional dishes, the choice... More

We spent 4 days on Embudu as part of our honeymoon. This resort is one of the originals but has been well maintained, which makes it have value for money as well as perfect for short trips to the Maldives. Sure it's not straight out of a travel agents brochure, but the snorkelling and water sure is! The boat transfers... More

Embudu was my eigth Maldives trip and a fairly last minute choice having originally planned to go to a more expensive island. The trip was just myself and my teenage son and the purpose was relaxation and diving. The transfer by speedboat was quick and easy and whilst not as exciting as the normal sea plane transfer this was very... More

Just got back last night from first trip to Maldives and had the most wonderful relaxing holiday and would not hesitate to recommend Embudhu. We have scuba dived and snorkelled on the barrier reef, Tahiti, the Keys and Thailand. This week there was no temptation to scuba dive as the snorkelling was superb, as good as anywhere we've been before.... More
