Premetto, non siamo in Europa e mi adeguo, però... nonostante avessi prenotato la camera non è pronta, aspettiamo... dopo un'ora, stanchi di aspettare che qualcuno si faccia vivo alla reception otteniamo la camera direttamente dalla signora delle pulizie... la camera è sporca, il tappeto bagnato, i letti abbastanza (siamo nel Gobi) puliti. Il bagno invece un disastro, la doccia sembra cadere a pezzi, il piano arrugginito si muove, dal lavandino puzza di fognatura. Ci laviamo i denti con l'acqua in bottiglia. Mancano pezzi di piastrelle e di muro. Ah, nessuno ci ha registrato, dalla reception ancora nulla. La colazione: il ristorante si dà aria da locale importante, però è sporco; a parte il the e tre fette di pane con marmellata ci portano una brodaglia; meglio non toccarla. We arrived at the hotel, were allocated rooms, repacked our bags for onward transfer, inspected the room and left.Guide books are quite positive; we will be informing them otherwise. Our room had twin beds and was quite small, overlooking the street, with kettle, TV, wi-fi etc.So far, so good and it is only one night.Then the grubbiness and dirt appeared; handles and especially light switches were filthy, and when we inspected the bathroom that did not look too good either. Then our group decided to leave. I think the condom machines on the corridor said much about this hotel.

After a few days in the Gobi, a warm shower and connection to the outside world were all we were looking for... unfortunately we found neither here. We worked with our guide to confirm that there was hot water and internet before we checked in, and though the receptionist said they had both, we got slow internet and cold and very cold water. I used the kettle to warm up some water for my wife to bathe. A night was only 60,000 tuggs, a little more than what we were paying for our hostel in UB (which came with many more amenities), making it a good option for the budget traveler. We walked to Nomins, the grocery store, town square, and new children park and there were plenty of restaurants near by for meals. Location and unique camel statue were the best parts about this place. I wouldn't stay here again.…
