Six of us were attending a wedding nearby and stayed at Splatthayes B&B for a couple a nights. Doug and Adrian were very helpful and accommodating and made everything very easy for us. Adrian even took us back to the wedding venue the next day to pick up our vehicle. They also helped our friends out at short notice when... More

We booked a double room, and when we arrived we were told because they were full, we had the holiday cottage instead of the one room. This was fantastic! As was the service and the breakfast, where our vegan and gluten-free foibles were catered for perfectly. Can't praise the friendliness or service enough. A great place to stay!

Having just spent 2 nights at Splatthayes, I can't recommend it highly enough! Douglas & Adrian were extremely welcoming and friendly.. & went out of their way to be helpful. The cottage itself is beautiful. Set in a pretty village & picturesque countryside, Splatthayes has everything needed for a relaxing stay. I shall definitely be returning if ever in the... More

We stayed at this lovely B&B as we were attending a wedding nearby. The B&B is quirky with a really cosy, warm feel and was value for money. We received a lovely warm welcome from Doug. Our room was really clean and the breakfast was delicious. Adrian kindly drove us to the wedding venue in order to collect our car... More

We stayed here as a family of 7 adults and a baby. We had 3 beautiful bedrooms and the use of the cottage which was just amazing and gave us a great place to congregate together. Thank you so much Douglas and Adrian for making us feel so welcome in your very comfortable, charming b and b. You looked after... More

What can I say; it was perfect in every way. From the warm welcome, to the parting moment I enjoyed the pleasant and relaxing surroundings both inside and out, cosy yet spacious ground floor en-suite bedroom combined with its own delightful lounge, very comfortable double bed, (and one single). Throughout the house the décor is surprising, pleasing and interesting, producing... More

We came down to a friends wedding nearby and stayed for two nights at the B and B. We were greeted on arrival with a smile and a welcome cup of tea. The room was really clean and tidy with a homely decor. Breakfast consisted of amazing local produce, expertly cooked. The service from the owners went above and beyond... More

this was a real treat to stay at, having been recommended for staying at whilst attending a training course nearby. Beautiful quiet area, fairly easy to get to by car but hosts are very accommodating if transport is needed to get to the train, rooms are lovely spacious and clean, very friendly and approachable hosts breakfast was lush with some... Fantastic hosts, very welcoming. A lovely house which is very cozy and homely. The twin en-suite actually has a double bed, a single and then a little seating area. All very clean and well maintained. The breakfast is also superb! Only one thing to note is you need a car really as it is a small village location and the... More

A pretty property, very nicely done up and with good and clean facilities. What made it so lovely though, was how welcoming and friendly the owners were. We arrived with 10min to get ready before our taxi arrived and without asking a pot of tea and biscuits arrived and even a suit ironing service! We were also offered a lift... More
