Thanks so much for the positive review and your return visit to the NFL. Our small size definitely makes it easy to get to know the other guests. Our cook, August, has been preparing our meals here for 6 years now and we are lucky to have his creative culinary talents to keep us all fueled for winter adventure. It's been a super great snow year for us and I'm so glad you got to enjoy it. Hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Andy

The National Forest Lodge is such a treat. This is a place you go to experience the beauty of the forest in solitude or with others. The cabins have rustic charm and the absence of televisions forces social activities like cards / board games that we don't make time for at

Hi Britni. Thanks for returning to our simple lodge and taking the time to share your experience. It's not to hard to create that welcoming feel with our small size and staff (ma & pa). Like you said, the cabins are basic, but the Superior National Forest's pines our trails wind through are magical. Thanks again and looking forward to your return!

Hi Konni! Thanks for returning once more and making time to share your recommendation. Glad you enjoyed the live music on Saturday night. We are fortunate to have so many talented musicians in the north land willing to make the journey to our backwoods location. As one musician said, "who would know driving past this sleepy location that such a party was going on." Looking forward to many more visits from your crew. Thanks again, Andy

Second time staying here. The owner Andy is really welcoming and looks after his guests well. The cabins are really cute log cabins. There is a wood fired sauna and an outdoor hot tub. I've only been here in winter, but the ski trails are always in great condition, and there is

Glad the 2nd trip up was a good one. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and certainly concur on the "friends" sentiment. The more the merrier. I'll pass your kudos on to groomer Matt! Hope to see you again for #3. Thanks much, Andy
