This was our second visit with Johnnie, Chris, and sweet Jake (family dog)🐶 This visit was even better than the last...beautiful Loon room with a private walkout to the beach. Fishing on the dock with Jake, flowers in full bloom, and most importantly a break away with my Husband. Johnnie is an amazing chef and offers new items each visit! Breakfast is always amazing and the appetizer each night is creative and delicious along with Chris home brew beers! We love visiting with them, kind of like family. Bonfires and s’mores by the lake...little tip Thanks to Johnnie, peppermint patty instead of the chocolate bar...AMAZING ❤️ They take time to ask how you are, if there is anything they can do to make your stay better. Already made our 3rd reservations for this October to see fall colors hopefully and bringing friends this time to enjoy the beauty!

Very excited that you’re going to enjoy your third season here! We’re hoping for lots of reds and golds this fall! “Chef”?! I’ll settle for pretty good cook. Good thing I’ve got a few weeks to experiment with some new recipes. You’re setting that bar pretty high! It is a lot of fun to cook for folks who are willing, and like to try new things. We’ll see ya soon.

Stayed three nights in this beautiful home. As my wife put it, "It feels like we are staying with family." Don't even know where to start. Pulling up in the driveway, there's a sense of "wow". Greeted at the door. Given a quick tour of the house. Shown our room - which was amazing!! King size bed, door that opens to a small deck and then the back yard and the gorgeous lake! Drinks and appetizers on the patio at "happy hour". Great time sitting and talking with the hosts - Chris and Johnnie - and the other guests. Breakfasts were fantastic! Foods I hadn't had before, but tasted wonderful! More conversations with the other guests and with Johnnie - she joined us each morning and shared interesting stories about "life". First day there, we went to a couple shops in town and in Bovey. Then came back and spent the rest of the afternoon on the beach. It was so nice!!! Dinner the second night was a delivered pizza, sitting in the screened in porch, watching all the hummingbirds. Our final night, after "happy hour", we weren't too hungry, but got a great recommendation for an ice cream place from Chris and that topped off the evening. The bed in our room was very comfortable. There was a TV in the room, but didn't even need it. They have lots of water toys to use, but we didn't partake (maybe next time). They have a house dog - Jake. Friendliest dog. When I first met him, he rolled on his back and wanted a tummy rub. If you want to feel like you're at home away from home, this is the place to go. In fact, before we left, we reserved dates for our getaway next year.

If you’re not lucky enough to live on the lake, you should have a place you know you can stay and enjoy on the lake. Feeling like home is our goal, and we’re so glad it worked for you. Looking forward to next year...and getting out on (maybe in) the water!

A very warm welcome and tour of their home, you felt right at home. The rooms are so beautiful with vintage décor. Screened in porch to have breakfast or in the dining room. The breakfasts were amazing. Homemade cinnamon rolls, omelets, fresh fruit, so good! Beautiful patio and beach area to relax and just enjoy the view. Sit on the dock and enjoy the sunsets. Jake the dog was so fun to watch looking for fish and so friendly. Chris and Johnnie- Thank you! We had a great time and look forward to another visit.

This makes me very happy! So glad you enjoyed your stay, and we really hope you’ll have many opportunities to come north again...maybe actually give fishing on “hard” water a chance!

We were in town for one night for a wake and stayed here. So much better than a hotel! Beautiful home, beautiful property right on the lake with a beach and anything you can think of to get out on the water in. Johnnie and Chris were awesome hosts, friendly and great breakfast cooks! We hated to leave but will definitely come back. Jake, the family dog, was adorable and friendly too!
