Old and dirty! Has never been remodeled since it opened! Mattresses were stained and lumpy. Stayed for 3 nights for a hockey tournament and they never made our bed or emptied our overflowing garbage. We had to call for towels numerous times. Rooms were freezing. Security guards are a joke. My son (12) was walking from the lobby to the... More

I have stayed here a few times before, but after this last stay over Christmas I will NEVER return and I will tell everyone that asks to NEVER stay here. The ceiling tiles were falling out in the bathroom, the shower was covered with black mold, the security guy picked a fight with my brother on Christmas night and CALLED... More

Worst hotel stay we have ever had!!!! Stay anywhere but this place. If you can get past the very outdated rooms, tvs, tiny refrigerators if your room even has one, hard beds, flat pillows(we had to run next door and just buy our own), hot hotel rooms because you can't control your own heat, ice machines and some of the... My room faced the courtyard and opened to the pool area. I realize this facility is in cold country and an indoor pool is an asset. The pool is open from 8 am till 11 pm and the children and adults were yelling and screaming throughout those hours. The facility also allows dogs and some guest must have had several... More

This is a big motel with a spacious and attractive ‘hunting lodge’ style of lobby. It is a slightly dated hotel that still retains room keys rather than that new-fangled card system! It has seen better days but I rather liked the slightly faded and old-fashioned style as it had a nice homey feel about it. The check-in staff were... More

This is an older property. You actually get real keys for your room. Rooms are clean but could use a bit of an update. Beds are not plush. Some better than others. This is our second stay and will be going back in spite of the beds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They want you to be happy.... More

This unique motel features a wonderful restaurant with great foods, especially salads and dessert. The grounds are lovely and very clean. The staff courteous and efficient. This Inn has the feel of a family owned place. A personal and unique flavor. AND an amazing bargain for both room and restaurant.

Place is an older hotel, but it is kept up nice. Reasonable rates, clean rooms and brings back the nostalgia of old hotels using real keys. Overall great food and clean rooms without paying the big chain prices.

Stayed at the Sawmill Inn on our way out to Calgary and what a great find! The rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the staff are friendly. There is a restaurant and lounge within the hotel; we didn't get to the lounge, but the restaurant had great food and a very nice hot breakfast menu! No one to dodge... More

I have stayed at the Sawmill Inn many times previously but I can not believe its decline in past year. My room smelled like a dead cat. The furnishings are old and worn out. The hotel needs a major refurbishing. I will be staying at another place next time I am in GR. however the waitresses in the restaurant are... More
