NUMBER OF ROOMS
My husband found this retreat for a quick anniversary get away. It was absolutely stunning! The B&B is beautiful in itself. The real treat is in the tranquility, solitude, and friendlieness of Craig and Jan. When we walked in, we could literally feel life stress melt away! We spent time in the Great Room, lounged in the Loft, and ate breakfast in front of a beautiful window overlooking the bog and wildlife. We also got the best nights sleep we've had in a long while. Talk about a hidden gem, for sure! We will be back when the weather is nicer and spend some time on their trails!
Fantastic place! Great hospitality, super comfortable and QUIET! Both breakfasts we had were very well prepared and presented. The purpose of our trip was to use the nearby bike trails and right away Craig offered for us to leave our bikes overnight in his large garage (both Craig and Janet were very welcoming). The property and grounds are top-notch. You do have to drive a few miles to Alexandria for dinner, but the roads are good, so unless there is a snowstorm that wouldn’t be a deterrent.
What a beautiful place. was in Alexandria for my nieces wedding (7-27-19) it's nice and quite and very clean and well kept up. Breakfast was delicious and all the people that stay eat at one big table... So, we met other great people while staying. My cousin and her husband also joined us here.... Great weekend, Great people, Great fun... you wont be disappointed. MRC
This was the perfect place for my wife and I to spend a night for our 24th wedding anniversary! The B&B building is gorgeous and peaceful, the grounds and setting are very beautiful, the view is fantastic, and the hosts, Janet and Craig, were so very gracious! The facility was very clean, and the breakfast was superb! The other couples we met were also fun to visit with. I would love to return again! So very peaceful and relaxing!
Wow! What a beautiful place! We were in Alexandria for a family wedding on 7.27.19. We traveled to Alexandria from our home four hours away. First of all the resort is just lovely. The grounds are very well maintained with two rooms having a patio walk-out and the other two rooms (upper floor) have a beautiful view of the grounds. We stayed in an upper floor room. We did enjoy the back patio though, as our cousins stayed in one of the lower rooms. Each room has a private bath and air conditioning, which we used since it was a bit warm. There are a few layered decks on the back of the resort, and on the ground level a firepit. The breakfasts we had both mornings were nothing short of a culinary meal. Wonderful French toast "crown" and country sausage on morning one and morning two we enjoyed quiche. Fruit, homemade muffins, coffee and juice also. The hosts are pleasant and gave us a tour and then we didn't see them until breakfast although they are handy to ask a question to if needed. This resort is located NW of Alexandria a few, easy travel miles. The last mile is on gravel; beautiful scenery and lots of trees. We would highly recommend this B & B Resort to anyone. We sure hope to go back!…
