Detailed Reviews
We have been vacationing here every summer for the last 14 years. We have seen a lot of people come and go in that time and we’ve made a lot of great friends. The one constant that keeps it enjoyable are the owners. Jim, Patty, and Madeleine are the best! They will welcome you with open arms and make you feel like family.

The cabin on the lake is amazing! Such a great place to relax and spend time with the family. I will be going back. I would recommend this place to anyone. There are outdoor fire pits and water activities. We took a pontoon boat out on the lake. So much fun!

Being right by the lake was nice and comfortable cabins that come with everything (including wifi which I really like) was fantastic! There is plenty of stuff to do while your there, there is also a lot of places to relax by the beach, lake, by our cabin's campfire and there is a lot of fun activities around the area. We've only been to a few of the places around the area and but will be back to check out more this summer!

This place is a find - a lovely, relaxing, and reasonably priced lake getaway. We've stayed several times, and plan to return. Fantastic for children - they can have some independence, in a very safe and sheltered little holiday village. Terrific location, central, yet well off the beaten path. The cabins are immaculate, and nicely equipped in lodge style new furnishings. Not fancy, but perfect. The lake is, of course, the star of the show.

We had a cabin right on the shores of Pine Lake. The cabins were clean, fresh and cozy. Sleeping was amazing because I could hear the waves hitting the shores all night. The kids played in the water for most of the time we were there. The beach was clean and the water was clean as well. Beach was cleaned each morning by a staff. One issue we did have was duck poop, which one morning was everywhere on the beach. I found a rake and cleaned it up. Patty was available for anything we needed and always welcomed us with a smile and great conversation. You can tell she loves having her resort full with "company" Its a great place. I am already making plans for next year!! My Grandson keeps asking "Grandma, when are we going to the (cavin) again!!?"

We just returned from a week at Waldheim Resort and all I can say is "THANK YOU!" it was so relaxing and quiet. The lake was clean, with loon calls all day and night. The cabin and cottage we stayed in were very nice. The owners - seriously, out of this world. It truly was exactly the break we all needed from "the real world" and refilled our cups.

We had a great stay at this campgrounds it was quiet and the natural beauty of the huge pines and maples was awesome. The lakes water quality was great and the Owners greeted us with open arms and we are now friends. It is a natural setting and a diamond in the rough so close to the Twin Cities.

We sated at the Waldheim Resort in a cabin right on the water. Beautiful breezes right off,the lake lulled us to sleep at night. We saw some loons too! It was great to have our own dock and fire pit too! Thank you Patti for your Minnesota hospitality!

We stayed in Hillside cabin for 2 nights in mid-June 2013. The cabins are situated down a hill with great lake views, each with their own dock and close to one another. Hillside was perfect, the log furniture and bear decor kept you the northern spirit. Terrific recreation lake!!! Be sure to bring your own towels (beach, shower, hand, etc). Finlayson has a large cafe and a bar with off-sale liquor.
