We had a great fishing trip booked through Joan at Moose Track Adventures. We stayed in a sparkling clean cabin [Bald Eagle] with a nice kitchen and air conditioning. There was both a fishing dock a few steps from the front door, and also a nice view of the lake from the picture window. The fishing with their very experienced and friendly guides was overall good and a little bit of everything. One epic great walleye trip, one good trip, and one below average day [based upon extremely high winds, but not unexpected in the far north]. Great customer service and recommended.

Great time had by the family in Otter Den. Outstanding cabin. Can't wait to see you Sept 2023. The owners could not be more pleasant. ( I won't forget the sharp cheddar) The Rudnick and Wallace families from Wisconsin. Thanks

Jim & Joan are amazing hosts! They couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The resort itself is well-maintained, located right on Farm Lake, cabins have been updated, not far from downtown Ely but remote and quiet also. We loved staying here and hope to again!

We loved staying here!! The thing that impressed us the most was the cleanliness. The new AC kicks butt! We loved the staff, and they were super knowledgeable about everything to do around Ely: hikes, best fishing places, etc. Oh, the best part? Free canoe and fishing boat rentals! They have nicer canoes, too, for a reasonable price, and a pedal boat! Overall really good place, and we can’t wait to come back!

Having driven through Ely for over 30 years on our way to canoe trips into the Quetico, we decided to spend some time in the area to explore, visit local attractions and just get away from COVID lockdown. We rented the Bear Paw cabin for the week of 10/3-10. The cabin was well appointed with all the necessaries as advertised, and the hosts were very accommodating. We did a fair amount of light hiking, visited the wolf and bear centers, explored the Superior National Forest campgrounds for a future trip with our teardrop camper and enjoyed the spectacular fall colors. Our one disappointment was our inability to schedule a guided fishing trip due to the end of the guiding season. Also, while WIFI internet service was unencumbered through our cellphone data plan (Verizon), there was no password-protected, router-based WIFI, and we used up all of our data for the month during the week. Having failed to arrange a fishing trip, on our final night we ordered carryout from the Boathouse Brewpub and the walleye dinner was outstanding. We were concerned that visits to the wolf and bear centers might be a waste of time, but were very pleasantly surprised and would recommend both for stays of 2-3 hours each.

We stayed in the Bald Eagle Cabin for a few nights while wondering around the area, looking at fall foliage. We found the cabin pretty and comfortable - however, if we stay here again, we'll bring seat cushions for the kitchen chairs (which are very interesting & cool, but, not all that comfortable for sitting all evening reading). Joan was very nice, and she gave us suggestions & maps of hiking trails in the area - which was very appreciated.

We just returned from a 4 night stay and we are so HAPPY we stayed there. Joan and Jim are very special people and we enjoyed our visits with them. The cabin we stayed in was so very clean and well stocked for cooking and dining! All the cabins are close to the lake. Wolf Den was wonderful and quiet! A must visit for a break from the world we now live in!

We just did our 2nd guided BWCA trip with Jim and Joan and it was just as fantastic as our first. We stayed one night in a cabin, then had a fully outfitted and guided trip. Once again they took care of all the logistics, so all my family had to do was pack clothes and enjoy the experience. We didn’t think our first guide could be matched in terms of quality but we were wrong...Ron was everything you could ask for and more. His knowledge, personality and skills were a great fit with our family. Thank you to Moose Track Adventures for making our family’s summer vacation so wonderful...especially during these challenging times.

We stayed at the Moose Track Adventures for a week in August 2020. Our time at the resort could not have been better. There was an activity for everyone – kids loved fishing and swimming, we liked canoeing, hiking, and evenings right next to the fire pit (and beer). Joan and Jim were great hosts, very accommodating and supportive, even our demanding request for the motorboat rental for every other day was accommodated. Our cabin (Wolf den) was recently remodeled and had everything you need after a long active day. It was literally 20 feet from the lake and had its own dock. The cabin had this beautiful wooden trim (look for the images on the website) and was very well maintained. Would love to go back right away. If you are looking for a relatively secluded place – it is right for you. On the other hand – if you want to visit the closest town Ely to pick some supplies or visit local attractions - – it just 10 min drive. Our Big Thanks to Jim and Joan and Two thumbs up for Moose Track Adventures!

Moose Track Adventures was an excellent place to stay. We flew up from Ohio to enjoy a long weekend and stayed at the Otter Den. The cabin was wonderful. Loved the heated floors!!! Would definitely recommend the facility. The owners Joan and Jim were great! We arrived late due to the weather and Joan was understanding and still showed us to our cabin. We will definitely try to make it back up that way!!!
