Booked a room online it does say it is a pet friendly hotel we don’t have any pets nothing was said on line with where pets would be on what floor. Was asked when we checked in if we had pets I said no and specifically asked to make sure we were not in a room that had any pets been allowed due to pet dander allergies. She said no it wasn’t and I was never told the floor we were on was the pet friendly floor. We were woken up early in the morning by dogs barking continually around us right next door and across the hall. When checking out we were told they weren’t suppose to leave the dogs alone but I can guarantee as I watched the family across the hall come back and the dog run out of the room to greet them. So be sure to check as staff at the front desk really just brushed it off and said there were no dogs in our room type but the rooms around us were not the same room type

We have been here many times, probably over a dozen. It’s always been a five star experience. This time I could only give it a four. It was loud. Really loud. Kids running in halls and adults arguing in the hallway in the middle of the night. Never experienced that before. They were running a discount this week and I wonder if that is the reason. The views are amazing and we love the rooms with a soaking tub. Very close to bayfront park as well. This is a must stay in Duluth.

Helpful staff and the best hotel in Duluth MN. Silos restaurant is a upscale cafe with a wide variety to select from. Bar has great crafted cocktails and the bartenders are terrific. Here is the issue. Duluth is a taxing magnet. They tax everything and really hit hard on tourism and hotels. A $280 room at Pier B will result in a total charge of over $350.

Location was fantastic. Front desk staff were very helpful, polite & friendly. It was a nice surprise to have a ride to Bentleyville. The view from our 3rd floor corner room was impeccable! We will stay again- it IS worth the money! And watching the ships come & go- a huge bonus.

We went for the New Year's Eve celebration package (room and party). It was a really great deal to start with. The rooms are spacious, neat and well designed for leisure. The harbor view was fabulous. Housekeeping was quick to respond (I always need an extra pillow) and very friendly. In fact, the entire staff was one of the most polite and helpful group of people I've ever dealt with at a hotel. The party was great. Their "light" appetizers were a lot more than I expected - pot stickers, roasted chicken pieces, chips with dip, veggies (including baby asparagus), cheese cubes, brie with fruit, and JUMBO shrimp cocktail. The staff was fabulous, as well. The doorman made arrangements to put my walker in a storage closet so it wouldn't be in the way in the packed ballroom. Discarded appetizer plates and empty glasses, etc. were picked up regularly so the table was always clean. It was an overall wonderful experience, including the restaurant, Silo's, which I will review separately. I highly, highly recommend this place.

Went their for Thanksgiving buffet. The cost was $34.00 per person which I thought was outrageous but did it anyway because they were advertising wonderful food. The food was disgusting. The turkey they were serving looked like a piece of leg that you couldn't even cut. The steak was a very bad cut. You couldn't eat it because it was so tuff. The green beans were hard and had no taste. The mashed potatoes were so so. Plus the food was all cold. Other people were also complaining. They can't seem to get their food right. We will never eat there again.

Beautiful hotel. Terrible food in their restaurant. For example, they used to serve hash browns but now serve cubed processed potatoes. Biscuit cold. Cold coffee. Coffee served out of carafes that have apparently sat for hours. This place needs to revamp their menu. This is a busy weekend with the Oktoberfest right across the Bay. Upwards of thousands in town. Hard to get a hotel last night as this town was packed! We sat in the Pier B restaurant for breakfast on this Sunday morning. Came in at 9:30 am. You would think this place would be full. Appeared to be about twenty people in here at most. What a pity! Apparently, the restaurant is taking on a reputation for unappealing food! Sorry, but we will definitely not return. There are just too many other restaurants in town that serve better food.

Very new hotel near Canal park. There is a shuttle to Canal Park but quite a walk.Room was spacious. I thought the patio was nice too, with a great view of ships leaving and entering the lift bridge. Cons: the bathroom had a sliding barn door so even in the summer the bathroom was drafty. This is a dog friendly hotel. The only problem was that many people had their dogs on the patio chairs that had cushions so they were full of dog hair and dog slobber. On the two days that we visited the patio it didn't appear that anyone cleaned up the patio. The chairs and tables were dirty and there was litter morning, afternoon and evening. The restaurant has a great view but it is so pricy. Food was just fine but not even real cream or milk for coffee. Definitely better hotels for the price which was expensive.

This hotel is a wonderful place to relax. The beautiful gathering area with tons of seating out back is fantastic. The large hot tub, fire pits, s’mores supplies, the blankets set out for you to use on chilly evenings…every detail has been thought of. You can’t help but feel relaxed in this beautiful space. We had a harbor view room and it was beautiful. We loved watching the ships come and go. Not bad walking distance to the canal park area, and the hotel also has a shuttle, though we didn’t use it. The recreational amenities are fun! We used the pedal go-karts, pickle ball courts, and the water bikes. All of these were free to use and a lot of fun. The sheets were one of my favorite parts of the stay. The first morning we woke up I had to find a tag so I could order the sheets to have at home. So soft and comfortable!! The only complaint I have is the restaurant. I called the first evening and asked for a reservation for our family. I was told there were no openings at all—for our entire 3 night stay. However, we saw many people walking in every day to inquire about tables and there was space. But by that time, we had made reservations elsewhere. Bummer because it would have been handy to eat at the hotel and the menu looked appealing. We were extremely happy with our stay and will return.

Room and view is terrific. Silo restaurant not so great. Very slow service from poorly ran kitchen staff. My biggest complaint with Duluth hotels in general is the amount of tax a guest has to pay to lodge in Duluth. Taxes can account for over 15%-20% of your bill. Be aware before you get that check out invoice.
