My girlfriend and I wanted to take in some fall colors and thought the North Shore was the place to do it. We decided on the Canal Park Lodge as the place to stay. Reservations went smoothly as did check-in. The entire facility, and grounds are very well cared for as well as beautiful. I love Mission Style furnishings and...

We really like this hotel. It's right next to the boardwalk and our room looked over Lake Superior. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were well equipped (refrigerator, microwave, free wifi). Their breakfast is varied and very nice. They have a cash bar every night, and very comfortable sitting areas both inside and outside. Our only complaint is that...

We stayed here twice. At the beginning of our trip up the north shore and the last night before returning to Minneapolis. It's a lovely hotel. The rooms are large and very comfortable. Clean and quiet. The breakfast is above average too. The only disappointment for us is the high price. I know it was a Friday night and peak...

We've been coming to Duluth for 16 years now for the Northshore Inline Marathon in Sept. For the past 7 years, we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Canal park. It suited our needs just fine. However, this past summer, we called to confirm our yearly reservation with them and no one could find record of our party of four...

When traveling to our favorite city in Minnesota, we always try the Canal Park first. We spend a little more but our BIG king suite is gorgeous and we LOVE it. We like to just stay in our suite and sit on our deck and enjoy Lake Superior. Order in and enjoy. Thanks for another great stay Canal Park Lodge....

We stayed at the Canal Park Lodge for 3 nights. This place is awesome. It is within walking distance of just about anything you want to do in the canal park area. The only reason we took the car out Wednesday was due to winds and some rain. It is right on Lake Superior with wonderful walking paths up and...

We had an awesome stay at the Canal Park Lodge over Labor Day weekend! We are VERY picky about the hotels we stay in and chose this hotel based on the reviews. We had a great room on the main floor with a patio facing Lake Superior. It was a beautiful view! The room was larger than we expected, very...

We have stayed at most of the Canal Park hotels and this is our favorite. Parking has never been a hassle as a couple of the other nearby hotels. The room was very nice, plenty of space and all the usual amenities (did not smell as others have commented). The small bar set up off the lobby was a nice...

This lodge is beautifully decorated, has a wonderful view and has lots of seating areas where families can gather. The only thing that keeps me from rating it as excellent is the smell in the room. My husband did open the windows and aired it out which helped. The smell seemed to come from the a/c. Fortunately we could turn...

We make an annual trip to Duluth and have stayed at all the hotels in Canal Park and this is our favorite. Location is in the only hotel on the beach. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. We love the balcony rooms. Breakfast is great with nightly happy-hour drinks and appetizers (apps go early, so if you want any, get...
