My husband and I needed a quick getaway from Sunday-Monday. My husband happened upon an opening at the B&B and we made the drive up north (up nort as we Minnesotans like to say). We loved the room, the B&B. and the food. Great owners that made us feel very comfortable. Beautiful views of the Lake and close to Canal...

Room and breakfast was great. Mary actually looked to see what we have had before there for breakfast so she could make something different. The quiche and pancakes were wonderful. We stayed in the Aerial Bridge room because that is our favorite for views, shower and amenities. As always, snacks and drinks complementary. We did play the 20th anniversary of...

We had a relaxing staying at the B&B. The room was very well pointed, clean, and tastefully decorated. The front of the property is on the beach and has lots of seating areas. It made the lake view very accessible. The breakfast had good variety and well balanced. The hostess was professional and friendly. Overall, a good choice for relaxing...

traveled to Duluth for business on this trip, wanted to stay near canal park. This wonderful B&B on Park Point just over the bridge offers all the charm of a B&B with the convenience and privacy of a hotel. Being on the beach watching both the waves and the boats, walking to both meetings and dining made it even more...

We had received gift certificates for the Minnesota Bed & Breakfast Association. Next was to decide where to go. We decided Duluth would be a great destination as it had been quite sometime since we had been there. Were hoping for a place on Lake Superior. Not to be disappointed we found Solglimt Bed & Breakfast. View was breathtaking, room...

The staff was great, helpful and friendly. Breakfast had ups and downs. The room was spacious, well kept, and had a marvelous view. The B&B is near waterfront and walking distance from some nice food and places to drink. Very happy and would return

Mary and Brian are wonderful hosts! My husband and I stayed in the Lake Superior room to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We had originally booked a different room, but since the Lake Superior room was open, Mary suggested we stay there because of the wonderful views of the lake, harbor and lift bridge. So glad we did! The room is...

My husband and I found Solglimt many years ago and decided to try it out. All of the rooms are wonderful. They are all different from each other and offer a different experience. This was our 6th visit to Solglimt. It is the only place we will stay at while in Duluth. The location of the B&B being just a...

This is our 5th trip to Solglimt. We are never disappointed. We stayed in the Oscar Nelson suite with views of the harbor and lift bridge. Not having a direct lakeview was not an issue for us as the garden and common rooms have this view. We had a private deck and sitting area in our suite. Breakfasts were delicious...

We stayed here over the weekend for grandma's marathon. The breakfasts were well put together. The care and attention to detail is clear. Brian and Mary definitely have a passion for what they do. The view of the lake is fantastic, with a small beach at the rear of the property. They were engaging, helpful and incredibly gifted at making...
