We have been here in November for a family gathering for many years now. It is our favorite Duluth place to stay. This year with COVID-19 we were not sure what to expect. Well thanks to a dedicated and committed staff our stay was great. All kinds of new rules to keep us safe but the staff really ensures you have a good experience. Thanks to Duwane from the breakfast for the nice conversation and sharing his morning sunrise photos of Lake Superior. Keep up the great work everyone. We will be back!

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed here for one night on the way back to MSP from the North Shore. I had originally booked a 1 King Bed Suite Lakeview Wetbar Nonsmoking room. The day of check in (or the day prior, I can't recall), I received a call that our room type was not available, due to cleaning policies and procedures. We were instead given a 1 King Bed Lakeview Wetbar Nonsmoking room. For one night we agreed to the change, and when I asked for a discount due to the room change, they were kind enough to give me a discount above and beyond what the price difference would have been. So, thank you, Hampton Inn Duluth for that. We hadn't stayed here for a few years, and didn't know these wet bar rooms and suites existed. The room was very spacious, with enough room for a king bed, a sofa bed, and a desk. The wet bar area is big, basically a kitchen area. The lakeview is always a great addition as well. The room was clean. The lobby area was controlled into who was getting inside the hotel, which I liked as a safety measure. Staff wore masks, and there was protections around the front desk as well. The location can't be beat. We got lunch from next door after checking out and ate on the patio behind the hotel. The hotel is still as consistently reliable and clean as it was last time we stayed there.

This was our first trip since the pandemic started and have to say I was quite nervous. The extra precautions taken by the Hampton were terrific - they went above and beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend! Perfect location - terrific hotel!

Thank you so much for trusting us on your first trip during COVID, we truly appreciate the stress the pandemic has caused so many people. We want our guests to feel safe as well as our staff to feel safe in coming to work and going home to their families each day. Between the city regulations, the state regulations and our Hampton standards we truly have a solid foundation for safety during COVID. Thank you again for trusting us and choosing Hampton Inn!

Comfortable and welcoming. This spot is on the Canal Walk and conveniently located for all tourist spots. The staff was helpful and glad we chose this spot. Even in the pandemic period, they did a nice job with breakfast.

Nothing disappoints more than finding you have a dirty room. Random candy wrappers, food crumbs on the seating areas, dead bugs on the windowsills, grimy film on the table and other surfaces. $300 for a room and it smells like old socks! I expected a tad more, with the covid response pledge of caring clean!

Thank you for your review and feedback. I apologize your room was not cleaned properly. This is unacceptable. The General Manager has looked into this and taken corrective action. Please know this is not the norm for our hotel. I certainly understand your frustration and disappointment. Thank you for letting us know of your experience and allowing us to address it.
