The good: no reservations make it good for last minute trips. The waterfront is beautiful. The scenery is breath taking. The staff was so friendly. There was a decent children's park and public activities like bean bags and shoes. Full hook up sites are available. The cons: Very cramped. 33 foot loft campers dont fit in there well and it... Don't blink in this small town or you just might miss this hidden treasure of a campground! The website says "no need for a reservation ~ we always have openings" and I'm very surprised they do. It's a self service place where you register yourself after you find your perfect spot and they are so pleasant to talk with. There... More

An excellent RV park. Hard to get to because of construction. It seems that the old adage of Minnesota is very true in that area. There are two seasons in Minnesota, winter and construction. We traveled from Roswell, New Mexico to go to a wedding in Duluth. The RV park does not take reservations but true to their word there... More

I chose this campsite mostly because it's proximity (right across the street) to Mission Creek trails. It's basically bike-in, bike-out so you can't really beat the access. The campsites are nice in that many of them are right on the St. Louis River. The trade-off is there are very few private campsites. And those that offer more privacy tend to... More

We drover 4 hours and camped here for 5 days and it was a great place to stay. Yes it is close to the hyway but you still feel like you are in the boonies. At night it is quiet and the people who run it are very kind. The only things i think i would change is the signs... More

If you like camping ten feet out in the open from another stranger go here. Way over priced. I would not recommend nor would i return. Its approximately 40 campsites jammed into a small area. Avoid this place.

If you're looking for an "out in the boonies" camping experience, this is not for you. It's relatively small and located near a somewhat busy highway. However, it's a short distance to Duluth, kid friendly, and has clean bathrooms/free showers. Firewood can be purchased for $5 a bundle and is right on a scenic little river. The folks that run...
