Great visit but wanted folks to know that it is my understanding that this fine home has been closed as a B & B. When we stayed it was great b/c the food was excellent and it was quiet at night. I tip my hat to the owner.

For my boyfriend's 21st birthday, I surprised him with a trip to Duluth! We stayed here, and Al and the Inn were a godsend. Easy parking, beautiful rooms. We were the only people staying in the entire Inn. Very peaceful, and relaxing. Excellent clawfoot tub and shower. Comfy, clean beds. Clean towels. Breakfast was TO DIE FOR! Al is such...

I'd return to this B&B in a heartbeat. It's a big, fabulous old house, with stunning woodwork and beautiful stained glass. It's in a quiet residential neighborhood, a block or two from the lake. The owner/host is lovely and personable. Breakfast was fantastic, and there are yummy baked goods and teas for evening snacks. I stayed in the Rose Room...

We had a pretty good time staying here. The breakfast was to die for, and i'm not kidding. The house itself was a little older, but has great charm. There is a side porch that we read books on and had morning coffee. Very nice. The power went out in our room and we weren't sure how to trip the...

Beautiful home inside. Very welcoming. We had the yhird floor ballroom. Brownies and beverages to help yourself to in the evening. Excellent host. A great bargain compared to other b&b's in the area. Only problem was that the property was in dire need of maintenance that was quite minor in nature. Weeds everywhere, landscaping mulch was gone down to the...

The Mathew S. Burrow 1890 Inn is a charming old house and we enjoyed our 1 night's stay. The breakfast was very good and Al took time to speak to his guest while we had breakfast. We also got some good information and advise from him.

Great host, decent breakfast, but didn't cater to special diet needs. Fan didn't work, bathroom dangerous with cords run everywhere and stepping into a claw-foot tub up on tile, and no TV about drove me crazy. Bed was comfortable. Front porch had junk stored on it, not pleasant to look at when sitting on the veranda! Needs some serious upkeep....

My boyfriend was a flight instructor at the Point in Duluth and after a couple of years of describing it, we had the opportunity to travel there and for me to see it first hand. What a nice small city! The canal street shops and restaurants are really fun to visit. What made the trip all the more special was...

I spent a night here near the end of a very long road trip. I really needed a cozy place to stay, and this was a good choice. The decor isn't really to my taste, but the atmosphere was great and the bed was comfortable. The food and conversation at breakfast were wonderful. Too bad I was too full from...
