Stayed at pikes peak in crosslake for my bday weekend. We got a jacuzzi room as that’s what I wanted for my bday. The jets kept shutting off and was tripping the breaker. I told the front desk and the manager treated my boyfriend like it we were lying and we were a problem. Rude and for the price she refused to give us any kind of discount no apology nothing. They even made me go show them how it wasn’t working and honestly I don’t think they will fix it. Go to white fish hotel in stead. Stay away.
The manager of this hotel is very rude and racist. He covered his nose to talk to me and ask me for the room back because he had a cat. In the hotel policies it says that it is pet friendly and pay the extra amount per pet. Even so, I paid for 4 nights and then I wanted to extend until Monday when our work finished and I left the hotel alone with my 7-year-old daughter. I worked as Housekeeping for 4 years and cleaned the room more than I should even though it was not dirty. I was feeding my 6 week old kitten wet food. The hotel is terrible for the price it does not have a working wifi but that is not the worst thing about the hotel. The worst thing about the hotel is the MANAGER that looks like a pool plug.
Don't expect any discounts, not even Triple A! Woman working the front desk when we checked in the evening of July 2 told us that they can not offer Triple A or any discounts because they only have 3 months to make money so they need to charge as much as they can. Yep, she told us that!!! If we didn't need to be in town for an 80th birthday, we would have made different arrangements. $200 a night for an old basic room with no breakfast or anything. We stayed 2 nights and the maid never even came for fresh towels or anything! Good luck Pine Peaks!! Treat people like that and for sure they won't come back. Then you will need to charge $300 a night!!! Wouldn't recommend this hotel at that price for sure
We stayed here due to a book a rooms being reserved for a wedding earlier this month. It was fine. A basic hotel with few amenities and a grumpy front desk staff. Maybe it was too hot that day? They sure didn't seem very happy to be there. Also, those free breakfast vouchers? They no longer exist. We got a measly $2 off a meal that wasn't worth using. Tiny 32" TV from 2012 (might have been 2014) and the room gets bright in the early morning hours even though they provide black-out curtains. The light just bleeds all around those curtains instead! They try to give the space a cabin-type feel, but it doesn't seem a lot of effort was done here. Just fake wooden log picture frames and a lot of wood throughout the room, but nothing above and beyond. Bathroom & bed were fine and the hotel was in a good location near other commercial businesses. It worked for us for 1 night. We didn't check out the pool, but we didn't see anyone else attempt to either. Oh, and how can I forget the jacuzzi? We paid extra for a jacuzzi room and the jets didn't even work. This place could do a lot better and bar isn't very high.…
My husband & I have stayed here a couple times for short getaways and it is always very clean and enjoyable. The breakfast vouchers are fantastic, even if we pay a little extra to eat something not included; it is worth it! We will definitely return!!
We stayed 2 nights for a wedding. The lodge was clean and had a rustic feel to it. Our room had 2 queen beds which was spacious. There wasn’t anything fancy about it but the price was reasonable for the area.
Wonderful friendly staff! The rooms are very clean and comfortable! Great pool and hottub with plenty of room for the entire family. Love the fireplace in the lobby area! Best hot cocoa anywhere! Overall fantastic atmosphere and enjoyed our stay!
We found ourselves here for a wedding in this quaint little resort town on the Whitefish Lake Chain. Great rooms but ours was a suite. The kids loved the room. We didn’t get a chance to use the jacuzzi in our room, however. If your heading up here I would highly recommend this place. Oh, not to mention the breakfast at the restaurant next door but that is another story. Cheers, Jim
This lodge was just fine for a night's stay for a wedding at nearby Whitefish (just a half block away). The room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. The price was extremely high ($185) but with few other choices in the area and being in July, I suppose it comes with the territory. The one down side is the hotel is on the main road and has few bells and whistles.
Just stayed at Pine Peaks again for opening fishing and what else can I say but AWESOME!! The fishing was the best it has veer been , the weather was fabulous and as always, the room was clean, comfortable and the staff was excellent!! I have never had a bad stay for as long as I have been staying their each and every fishing opener since they opened in 2001. To top it off you get a free full breakfast at the restaurant next door.....................Great Job Pine Peaks!! Located right across the road from the Crosslake recreation area accommodating campers fisherman or anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors. A great small town, UP NORTH FEEL and the hotel accents the atmosphere and the flavor of the town.
